OW2 Engine = OW1 Engine

KoH maps have the same Memory Errors on start as the OW1… The Spawn Geo is jacked and you can clip out of it 100% of the time. Since its the same error, I attempted the GeoClip and it works… 100% of the time.

Did we not write a new engine for OW2?

Do you not know how expensive it is to write new engines? There is a reason companies stick to an engine for 5 - 10 years. It’s just not possible to keep making engines. I highly suggest you learn something about engines. UDK was around for years, and so will Unreal 5.

Even if its an upgrade? The same errors in the same memory pools? Not much of an upgrade if everything is the same.

It’s more like a graphical remaster since all the geo and collision seems to be the same too (hence the clipping).

Note: The engine knowledge made me laugh… I’m 25 years in, hence why I knew about the memory issues. Anyays, was just wondering. :3

It has always been stated that is is update to the current engine. People who though it is new engine are misinformed.

Many reasons to hate on Blizzard. Like hiw rhis game is now F2P (scummiest monetization model). However, most games don’t make new engines for every game.

Engines are reused for more than a single game. Ever heard of Unity or Unreal there’s literally thousands of games using these engines. Bethesda has been using the same engine for over 10 years now.

The problem isn’t the engine. It’s that this game is basically a reskin whose sole purpose was to implement a predatory monetization model. That’s the real problem.

Its basically a lazy fix for poor balancing and a scam fomo machine.

No new game.

Also pve will be bad looking at blizz atm.
