OW2 Download Taking Too Long?

I could Download all of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition with mods in just a few minutes, the OW2 Download has taken 4 hours (it’s at 24%). What gives? Is Overwatch 2 bigger than Skyrim or has the Blizzard Development Team released these updates too late before OW2’s release and everyone is downloading them at the same time?

I tried downloading this yesterday, and it only got to 6%. This is a bit unfortunate. Is everyone else experiencing this issue? I foresee many crashes when the game launches tomorrow if it is this hard to just download.

My download was 40mbit/sec yesterday and completed rather quickly. Perhaps the connection between you and the Content Delivery Network (CDN) is having issues, or it’s just congestion.

It has been two hours and my computer has gone from 24% to 27%. Damn.

Check your download settings,
Mine was set to throttle the download speed, it was a crawl until I unthrottled it.

Have you changed the default value of Pre-Release Content? Settings → Downloads

If so, maybe it is saturated.

You have to remove the download limit by unchecking “Limit download bandwidth”

Thank you, forgot there was an option for pre-release content. My latest updates was set for throttling so I was confused. Thank you very much! :slight_smile:
