OKAY so this is the most annoying thing.
I live in Australia and my friends and I play OW mostly on Playstation. When we saw that the sign up for the second Beta was happening, we all jumped to sign up for it. Now when we did that, there was a drop down that said, “if you are on PlayStation, then please select the region.”
When I first started playing, I learnt that we connected to the Asia servers, most my friends from that time were from those areas. So when the sign up came and I posted it in my discord server, my friends asked which region they should pick and I told them to pick Asia as that’s what Australia has always been linked to.
WELL imagine how confused and annoyed I was when I looked on twitter DAYS later to see that the Blizzard_ANZ twitter said that PlayStation player in the ANZ should select EUROPE as their region. What is this? Eurovision?! I didn’t realise we were in the “Europe” area.
Honestly, this should have been an easy fix, I should have been able to go back to the beta sign up and fix things but no. I can’t change it and now the people in my discord server and I are worried we’ve ruined our change to actually play the beta. But you see NOWHERE on the beta sign up does it say anything about were ANZ player should sign up. This is just terrible organizing and it’s super annoying.
I tweeted the support about this and I always opened a ticket to talk about it. Twitter didn’t reply and the support told me to open this, so I have.
I’m not sure what else to say but please help me, or if this has also happened to you, please say so.
