OW1 Game-breaking Alt-Tab Issue

Okay, the problem is that when I play competitive or QP, the game will randomly alt-tab itself to my desktop. When I tab back into the game it basically makes my computer unusable. I can’t move, pick a hero, shoot, nothing. Not only that but I can no longer click anything on my computer because it removes any and all left-click functionality from the PC. This has cost me 100s of SR and has almost gotten me banned several times.

I’m desperate for help because I really love the game and don’t want to get banned because of these bugs.

These are my PC specs:

Brand: ASUS

OS: Windows 11, 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

CPU: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core™ i7-11700f @ 2.50GHz

RAM: 64 GB

Main Monitor: AOC 1ms Delay @ 1920 x 1080, 144Hz

I actually have the same issue. I thought it was a lutris linux issue. But if it happens on Windows too, that’s a thing.

I’ve never had this issue on my laptop, only on my desktop. I really hope that they can find a solution soon.

This happens when another app on the computer is stealing focus, and is not related to the Overwatch client itself. Sometimes you can find the offending app with WindowsFocusLogger.

Is WindowsFocusLogger part of windows or is it a separate app I need to download? Also what would the steps be for using the app?

it’s a separate app. You would need to consult their documentation for use, but I think all you do is open it, then open the game.

None so far but that’s fine because I switched to Borderless Fullscreen and have had no issues!
