OW1 Credits-Blizz will not do players right!

I have been playing Overwatch since release and I have collected a modest amount of credits. I know they said the skins will transfer and mentioned that credits will too; however, without details on the credit transfers it’s anyone’s guess.

I think Blizzard will make the value of our current credits 1/3 of what they are now or will make them a secondary currency that limits what we can use them for. I am sure they will not do the players right by it.

Dude who cares about the credits?? Theyre useless

Secondary. They said it in an Reddit AMA that they will not be usable to buy the new OW2 skins from the shop. Expect them to be usable on OW1 items only.

You want your free coins to turn into actual paid coins? That’s ridiculous even if it wasn’t 1-1.

Coins represent your time playing a dead game and it has value, blizzard should reward us and be grateful that we’re still playing, us the players!

This is how you have to view things, if they can’t milk you of your money for something, then it won’t get implemented in any meaningful way.

I would prefer they let us exchange the credits in some way. I already have literally every item those coins are used for and still about 120k sitting in the bank. They’ll sit there forever if there’s no new function for them.

Lmao blizzard doesnt owe you anything

Blizzard owes us as a whole, community of loyal players, everytime someone playing their game investors smiling in the corner, no players = no blizzard.

Hm not really. But keep thinking that

The irony is that they are useless even in OW1 so I can only imagine how more useless they can become.

The did right by you in making you able to have all the items in game and a surplus of points. They dont us more items with those points. Any exchange will be fair

being able to get all the items was the entire selling point of the game.

WHAT!!! Its overwatch not Pokemon wtf are you talking about

It is pockemon then.
The original advertising was that you can buy all items in the game with coins (later changing the text on the website to “most” items)

Oh I didn’t know that ! Thanks for the notice.

I spent 200 to 300 dollars on the side for Overwatch between 2016-2019 (for some exclusive skins, emotes and lootboxes during the first seasonal events) and I feel like that was more than generous from my part.

They can kiss my behind if they think I’m foolish enough to spend the same amount of money I did for 3 years in less than 3 months or so

I don’t wish Overwatch the worst but If Blizzard’s pricey monetization to a 2016 game fails to keep the franchise afloat, then it’s 100% on them. Inb4 people blaming the playerbase that didn’t want to spend a dime on it before seeing actual new content and game mechanics live.

No it’s not ridiculous.

I have all the skins, never bought a loot box and still have like 20k coins. I don’t really care if they give me compensation or not. I think it’s a nice gesture, but it’s not necessary.
