I played almost exclusively support at launch. It was more fun than OW2 by leaps and bounds.
OW2 support is literally why I don’t play OW2 anymore.

that is definitely an opinion of all time. you’ll have a hard time convincing people though.
sounds like you just want to be a healbot. play tf2 medic or be someone’s pocket bot on mercy. its the exact same experience.
If I play support I want to support. If I want to play damage I’ll play damage.
I am quite content playing a role that does one thing better than others.
But if I want to play a shooter that has no roles I’ll play Q3A.
what exactly does support mean to you?
what is sym in ow classic?
yeah, supports damage is overtuned but in owc they are literally defenceless.
its weird, just go back to the last patch of ow1, ana could still 3 tap, 2 with nade and she had significantly lower damage numbers because healing was massively overtuned. id rather have supports killing things than not letting things die.
I dont see the point youre trying to make with this one
Are you going to moan some nonsense about how providing support includes contributing to the kill count?
you might not like it dude but if the damage source is dead, there is less of a need for healing…
this isnt an ow2 thing either. why do you think zen was so broken at times in ow1? one of the 3 real supports in owc and he was a glorified dps. bad at launch, sure, but broken later on
now, what about the rest of the points I made?
Yeah I’ve heard this song before. More sweaty tryhard spreadsheet gobblygook.
what song is that? refusing to converse because you know you cant argue with facts?
thats one of my favourites.
Ok. That doesn’t change that she’s overpowered.
It’s almost like managing to be hard meta within a role that contains numerous overtuned heroes requires that hero to be clearly overpowered.
I don’t care about crackers.
Pew pew pew!
You must be one of the really RARE people that wants to play the game when brig was introduced lmao.
Considering she was a nightmare for everybody but brig users x)
I gleefully enjoyed the period where the numerous dive heroes who always preyed upon the supports were bopped into submission.
The irony in full circle is that I’m now I’m just doing it back to supports in reverse by playing Venture who has like the easiest approach and kill combos on supports.
it is me i am him.
Love brig to this day i used to wake up to dps tears in my coffee.
If you have to contribute to kill count, usually it means that DPS failed in their job.
And what do supports fail at ?
this take is not any better than the other dudes.
heroes are tanky in ow2. healing is still pretty good, not as good as it used to be but its far from bad. survivability is high. all damage helps.
if anything if a support has the time to contribute to damage, it means the enemy dps aren’t doing their job.
Or I could just go play Q3A instead of an underperforming support who mostly spends their time on underperforming damage shots.
At keeping you alive.
In other words, DPS job is to make sure, that enemies die, support’s job is to make sure, that you won’t die in the process.
underperforming? sounds like youve got a specific support in mind. who would that be?
also underperforming damage shots is just a skill issue. half the supports have comparable damage to dps picks.
If the roles barely exist then why have them. Again, I could just play Q3A and have a lot more fun in a purely skill based game.
