I find it funny that some players like ow1 classic because “things die.”
Yet some of those players advocated for:
1.Hogs hook combo to be removed
2.Widow, hanzo, and Junkrat one shot to be removed
3. For the reworking dmg boost and orb
4. Advocated for supports to have less dps power.
The kill is only earned if you are throwing super nova stuns or playing Splatoon with one shots. Everything else is too cheesy.

Almost like people want things to die fast but not oneshot fast.
People died and it wasn’t this slog of games where everything would not die…

I think people who play OW2 have an expectation about what they can do in that game and they think it will apply to this game but it does not. If you play classic like you play OW2 you will be road kill. if you use cover and mobility you will live a lot longer than you think you can. You may be harder to kill with 150 health than a raid boss with a shield and hammer! played a lot of games with high 30 kills and low single digit deaths.
And then you encounter someone playing E-Liter on the enemy team
For people who don’t know–
Imagine if Widow could oneshot people with bodyshots, her bullets could pierce enemies, barriers were scarce, all heroes’ main weapons do 0 damage outside of their range (which for the majority is on the shorter side, not that it matters much because this Widow outranges them all anyway), the maps were generally small, good flank routes were uncommon, and you were forced to keep firing your weapon as you try and sneak into enemy territory or else you can’t move. And also you couldn’t switch. So if you’re not playing something that can contest her from the start, GG 
I love Sploon. But the E-Liter. That weapon makes me wish I could just immediately opt out of the match. I feel legitimate dread seeing one on the enemy side before the match begins
At least I have to land more than one shot with my Hydra

people forget that not long into OW1’s history the call for making TTK longer and having more self reliance was heard (which then led to “too much sustain”)

Though I’ve never had too much issue taken with it personally since it is very slow and Splatoon’s character design is naturally hostile to snipers. But perhaps I’m just too casual and things are different at higher than B rank comp

“Things die” is not the same thing as “I die too quickly and cannot react to X”
There is no contradiction. You want kills to be possible, but not too easy. People don’t need to be immortal for the game to feel fair, but there are some things that are more intolerable than others.
Lmao I have never asked for any of these and have fought for all of these and still think owc is a better experience.
While as a solo raid tank main you may love 5v5 trying to play a hero at the power of two players which you never earned or qualified for.
But bottom line is it makes game stagnant uninteractive and full in a lot of bad words it feels like that often.
But owc for all it’s issues is constant action.
Have atleast the common sense to see this is a mode were widow is currently actually server admin, hog is booking through walls half the roster is not present , half that is present is weak clunky and people still enjoy it.
If it still doesn’t hit you why many people still enjoy and not look at why what is wrong with ow2 despite so much qol and better mechanics.
Instead like a dumb buffon cry people like killing stuff , you are just a bucket

They are overtuned yes and rarely you get three at most it’s two most of the time.
Gibraltar matches traumatized me.
It’s a format problem less about balance , the game was never about balance outside fixing extremely op stuff.
