OW Players Are Too Sweaty

Stadium needs to be as silly as possible to balance out how sweaty its become, this is partly why we have so many silly modes and tbh i think this is something the devs excel at as you can tell by the quality of the last few limited time modes theyve put out.

I am looking forward to doing crazy stuff, i just saw rein rocket charging up to the roof and i want that to be the bare minimum.

As long as the game mode has speed and air time i think it will be fun.

In their infinite wisdom, blizz decided to make Stadium into a comp mode. Sweats are going to run the show over there. Its Kirikover.

Early on I’m sure everyone will be lost and learning builds. But after a while after that, as long as you try your best and try to win regardless of whacky silly we make, you’ll be fine. Besides, if it wasn’t ranked, people would still complain about sweaty players or players who throw/don’t try.

The only way for a game like this to become less sweaty is to go the TF2 route of tricking players into helping their team by making them want to help themselves first while “accidentally” helping their team in the process. If OW2 and Stadium could pull this off, people would be having way more fun.

i think only comp in stadium means the matches will be balanced. players being sweaty or silly wont matter when the actual player base gets to play the game.

ofc being silly the whole match might not result in a win but you had fun.
its the same in quick play, people are sweaty there too people dont complain about it hindering their silly gameplay.

just see stadium as quickplay but with tighter matchmaking.
you can be silly and be rookie 5.
you can also be silly and be elite 1.

Wait it’s comp only, that’s certainly a decision

Yep, and there’s a Juno skin if you hit their equivalent of Masters. So, people are going to be try harding on day 1. You might have a season while people are still learning optimal builds. But eventually, the game will be a matter of just picking the right upgrades and having good positioning.

Does the build even matter when everybody is starting at the same rank?

It’s good but remember that the enemies will also have abilities that will feel broken lol

I’ve been doing a Juno build that is doing around 40% of Rein’s total HP with armor and everything with her missiles, and I have 2 charges + 1 second less on cooldown for each target it hits

The Rein charge one is fire, though. Had an enemy Rein reach our spawn in Collosseo in under 2 seconds once the match started LOL

It’s being pushed as a main feature

Can’t really have people treating it like a joke mode….

Imagine all the leaver-prone people trying to deal with 7 rounds of “the game hates me”

Not yet confirmed, but there are talks that Stadium’s ‘ranking system’ is more of a progression system (think call of duty). Plus, it resets every season.

If that’s the case, that’s nothing I’d concern myself over.

I believe Stadium would have been a much more enjoyable non-comp or arcade game format given the high degree of character customization offered and the extra long match times involved. Perhaps they are desperate to boost comp participation numbers?

I would say so. Yes…

It does if the two teams are around the same rank. On the other hand if you get a gold tank against Lhcloudy it’s hardly going to matter

Imagine playing a player versus player game with the goal of winning.

I’m hoping they pull in your current comp or QP MMR as a baseline. Otherwise it would just be chaos and not fun.

Nope, it’s competitive. Play some Minecraft.

why dont you go pro

I will, as usual, be letting my team down. :triumph:

Only for the firat three ranks. Losses start counting against you after that.
