OW no longer starts with CrossOver after 2.13.0.1.131376

Hi there, while I understand that wine / crossover might not be a supported platform, the game used to run reasonably well on the Mac before the latest patch introduced today. I was playing earlier today but required to update and restart the game and after the patch the game no longer starts.

I can see in the activity monitor that Overwatch.exe is running using 100% of the CPU but the window does not even appear nor I can see any logs from overwatch itself.

Things I tried (but didn’t work):

Using the stable version of CrossOver
Using the preview version of CrossOver (this one is based on Wine 9.19)
Reinstalling Overwatch 2 (recreating the bottle) both from Battle.net and Steam

Attaching some logs, this part seems to repeat on and on at the end.

Mac and CrossOver are not officially supported for Overwatch. Currently, only machines running a native copy of Windows 10 or 11 are supported.

Same problem here. Wish I’d known before I uninstalled all my apps, reinstalled the Steam version, tried Crossover Preview, and wasted 2 hours on all that. Turns out, it’s not even a Crossover issue—it’s on Blizzard/Overwatch’s end. This bug is all over Windows too: Battle.Net saying "Playing Now" when the game isn't opening (plenty more examples if you search around).

There’s no real fix for it—just gotta wait for a new patch. Some people say you can leave it running, and it’ll open after about 10 minutes, but no luck for me. Pretty weird stuff.

I am facing the same problem. Running the game on Steam and it won’t open. I can find it in the task manager but the game window never opens. Please post here if you find any fixes.

Before you touch this update everything works perfectly and in ultra on macbook pro m2 pro. it would be good if Europe looks at the obligation that the games are available on all os

The version was updated from 2.13.0.1.131376 to 2.13.0.1.131932, but that didn’t fix the issue for me.
