I’ve been fine on all the other 2CP maps (not encountered Volskaya yet though) but Temple of Anubis is horrifically laggy for me, I’ve been getting no higher than 10FPS on that map. Occasionally it goes up to where the FPS should be but as soon as I walk into a fight or even just get anywhere near an enemy, it’s back to 10 FPS. idk if anyone else has been getting this
I ran 240fps on epic, and i noticed my frames drop to 85-125fps for a solid minute and half then back up not sure if it’s my computer or the Classic mode as a whole
I’ve been having the same issue. Only on Temple of Anubis. So far it’s been 2 out of 3 times, and I’d have to either dip or lag and pray for the best. No other map has given me any lag so far and I’ve played on all available maps.
Same here, only that map, and only while defending so far. It may have to do with joining mid-match, i think both times were that. Very hard to play on 2 frames.
this just happened to me too. dropped down to about 10 to 18fps with latency of 200ms+. my normal is a steady of ~200fps and latency of about 50ms.
That’s been my experience as well - for some reason whenever I play Anubis, it is a laggy mess - it’s like playing a flip-book version of an FPS.
None of the other “classic” maps are acting like this, and I never had any problems with the map when it was in rotation in the past, so something new is in the mix.
Hi, sorry I don’t have much helpful to say. I just wanted to say I’m having the same issue on the same map, and I haven’t experienced this on any other Classic map. So far I’ve run into this lag problem twice out of the four times I’ve played on the Temple of Anubis map.
Same issue, down below 10fps with normal latency. Its happened both times ive played the map and both games ive been backfill, which somebody else mentioned too. Hope this helps.
im also having this issue
it only happens on ToA. i join the game and my frames immediately drop to about 15fps. after that they continue to drop over time until its basically unplayable at around 6fps.
none of the other classic maps do it only ToA, which sucks cus it was my favorite 2cp map
EDIT: its also worth noting that my frames only drop DURING gameplay. the second the game ends and the “defeat” or “victory” message appears the lag ends and i jump back up to 60fps even though the map is still loaded
I have the same problem, I ended up on this map three times and three times the FPS dropped from 144 to 30 and below. Most likely it was due to the fact that all three times I was connected to an already started game, but this is still strange because on other maps my FPS does not drop below 100.
I just built a new PC and I thought something was horribly wrong with my PC. Turns out it’s just OW classic anubis
Temple of Anubis in OW Classic is a horrible horrible experience with the fps killing . I usually run 360 fps on any other map no problem but in Temple of Anubis in OW Classic I run 9 fps if I’m lucky ! it is usually when looking at the direction of point 2 when attacking .
I’ve noticed it on Temple of Anubis as well, but only when I’ve backfilled. Coincidentally, both times I backfilled were on Defense. Normally I stay fairly stable at 120 FPS or close to it but it drops down to single digits eventually.
Latency 217 AND 6 FPS
I noticed this on Anubis and Hollywood now, one game was backfill and the other wasn’t, and I found that there were about a billion Lucio weapons piled up in that little room with a health pack right outside of Attacker spawn on Point A.
Just to add another voice to the noise, I too have encountered this many times when joining a game in progress on Anubis classic.
Same problem here. Just joined to Temple of Anubis and started with 12 fps and dropped to 2. Is really horrible
capped 150 previous match to 30 in this map, then down to 5 within 30 seconds. Tried bearing it for 2 minutes, alt-tabbing, playing with settings, only quitting the game and restarting helped. Only started happening to me today.
edit: COULD be a bug related to hw accelerated GPU scheduling. turned it off because that’s the only thing I changed since last week and it works like normal… but correlation != causation and I don’t have the time to A-B test a bunch of times til I happen to get Anubis
Same here,
Slow fps and even worse 1%fps dips.
On this map and the Samoa.
I have checked almost everything in msi afterburner:
- No GPU bottle neck (~50%)
- No RAM Issue (I’m on 32G now)
- No CPU Bottle Neck (on all cores)
you better fix this soon or I’m definitely off to MR…
Edit: The above trick with hw accelerated scheduling didn’t help me.
