ow classic makes me realize how nice it felt to play each role compared to the game now. except going against dps doom… not fun

The support doesn’t feel as good. I’m trying to relearn Mercy’s SP but it feels off.
I hate this Classic personally. I much enjoyed the lanch Classic better. And as you said, DoomFist oppressive nature as a DPS is too much, why I did the achievements and stopped playing it.
The sj in classic is the same as high sj in modern modes (except using jump instead of crouch).
Of course, the devs will never be able to 100% accurately replicate how things used to be back then. Partly due to engine change.

If you think the game felt better then compared to now I’d suggest quitting. It ain’t going back. And if it does then I’ll quit, and probably lots of others too XD
Game felt like trash back then, could only stomach one game before me and my friend decided “never again” XD
Time moves forwards and not backwards for a reason.
He wasnt too bad back in the day. He was incredibly fragile and has a tendency to blow all his abilities at once. If you play a shield hero he folds like cardboard.

dps doom blows up against any cc and is a C-B tier hero in this patch.

He was honestly even worse than that. This patch is after he got all the nerfs that basically neutered his combo, on top of turning his punch from 1 second charge up to 1.4 seconds.
Don’t worry, we’re only here for classic.
Tomorrow, you can go back to your awful game without any comments from old school players.
If only there was a way for the first game to still exist. I can still play Starcraft, Diablo, Warcraft, Lost Vikings, and yet I can’t play Overwatch.

I would play it, but I haven’t been in the mood to game for the past few weeks. It’s funny because just a month ago, I was gaming heavily. I only stopped playing games in the last 3 or 4 weeks. Worst time for the Oct 2020 patch to come out. Oh well, I can always watch other people experience the mode on YouTube to remember what the game was like and experience the nostalgia.
I still think there was many aspect of Overwatch 1 that was superior over Overwatch 2 though. But I agree that there are also many changes that was done right that improved the game in Overwatch 2 also.
Yeah it’s a way better game by far - way more interesting to play.

yes it feels good to play hitscan and demolish mercy and df in this mode because they dont have the opportunity to easily fix their mistakes X)
had a lot of fun playing cree and bastion in this mode today
I didn’t care for it. Ana felt fine though.
Let’s also remember:
The current devs did not make OW classic. That was almost entirely different devs - which is why they don’t like it.
Switch to Sombra and make doomfist cry , we had it in 2020, a lot 
modern overwatch is a spam fest.
6v6 makes it better but still sometimes people just do stuff that would be blatent feeding in OW1 because everything just takes forever to kill.
greedy hitscan players just gettting double pocketed in your face with enough spam and cooldowns to instantly get out of that position for free.
it is so nice having to play actual footsies again.

And you can’t play launch overwatch. Or OW v1.1, or OW v1.2, or etc etc… (it’s called a live service game). In fact, you could never go back and play old versions of overwatch, even when it was called just “Overwatch.”
But funny enough, now you CAN occasionally play some of the older versions. They are called OW classic.

game was much better, I played countless games. Now its just garbage.
don’t get punished, hp changes make the game ez mode.

but as it ended (I assume as I am not home until the weekend) I now have time to play wow. 
waiting for another owc to come along.
I am happy I spend 1600 in ow1 since 2016 and overall 2000h in overwatch.
maybe we get ow2c something pre s9 was still playable.
