PC has been crashing all day giving blue screen stop codes (stop code: SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, What failed: atikmdag.sys). Tried nearly everything: uninstalled ow and battle.net, drivers and PC are up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled my driver, system scans (no malware or driver problems). I don’t use AMD but Nvidia. I have a similar experience to you a few years back. After updating to driver version 364.47 (that was back in 2015, I think), I kept getting blue screen of death or unwanted shut downs.
It only stopped when I booted up in Safe Mode. A Google search indicated others were having the problem as well.
So, I uninstalled the drivers in Safe Mode, re-booted and then installed my old drivers to kick the problem.
