Will there going to be any changes or improvement for controller users on pc. As someone who honestly tried and failed to learn k&m I would love if they gave some love to controller users. After trying k&m I can say many of the heros feel un playable with controller but honestly it hasn’t changed my specific skill level either. As someone how never played pc shooter before overwatch i honestly miss my controller.
Maybe even some kinda aim assistance like on console. I’m not asking for aim bot. Maybe something that’s helps hit center mass only or helps with tracking.

Unlikely considering aim assist can be exploited. It is in your interest to learn k&m though since it will be useful to you in any other game as well.
Honestly not really. No offense. I mean every game I play has controller support or is mostly single player.
And I know but there is going to be plenty of non pvp stuff to. So no real reason that couldn’t have some aim assistance. As for the other… aim hacks already exist. So cheaters going to cheat. And why insade help with center mass not head shot
if you want to use controller on PC enable the option title “force keyboard/mouse user interface” in the controller settings (or your UI will bug out) and then use a mouse or something else to aim and the controller for movement and abilities
if you use a joystick to aim on PC your just handicapping yourself. full stop. aim assistance on console wont work on PC it will be abused. the devs know this, thats why it isnta thing on pc
(i use a controller/stylus combo on pc AMA)
To the handicapping thing… I honestly agree… when I use my controller I feel like I’m hurting my team… but when I use k&m I feel like I’m hurting my team. Check my game record and try to guess when I stopped using my controller ans started using my k&m. So at this point the only way to not hurt my team is to NOT PLAY. Which i it self sucks.
What do you use. Yes for a long time I used half a xbox controller and a mouse to am but my wrist kept hurting after a while so I went to a gaming key pad but it feels funny and no were near as good. I always wished I could get a nunchuck to work on pc but failed.
But again couldn’t the assist say be disabled for say comp or pvp modes. Because again yes it could be abused but at the same time hack and cheats are already a thing for over watch.
i use a joycon (nintendo switch controller) in my left hand and a wacom intuos 4 with my right hand (stream daily at glitchpleaseOW if you want to see it in action)
this could work. in fact theres a lot of things in the game now that are disabled in pro-play and pro scrims, for exacmple the kill-cam where you see your death from the enemy POV, yeah the pros dont get to use that because it gives away too much info (enemy positiions, traps, translocator ect). so theoretically yes. maybe the devs could be talked into it
I do not believe there will be any addition of controller aim assist for PC platforms in order to maintain a competitive integrity among all players who play on PC. Its kinda the same logic to why the dev team objects to the use of keyboard and mice (but can’t do anything about that because of various reasons) on console platforms.
Well, aim assist most likely will not be in there. But at least you could feel less sorry about your team on PVE content if you really need to play on controllers.
Also some folks with health issues and special needs have some ways to play games. I think there are some controllers and features out there that could help your needs. I heard in the past things about eye tracking, voice activated and some arm tracking devices to help certain games, maybe things like that could complement each other to get you better experience both on overwatch but also in other games.
Word of God has spoken. Can’t argue with that. Thank you for your answer.
Myst if you could still answer my questions about your set up that would be great.
Mine is more 30 years of control use “me” vs 30 years of k&m use “other” or
I am sorry but what do you mean by this?
Sorry I mention unlucky man. He said he used a hybrid system Liken use to. Honestly my biggest problem is moving. Can’t count how many times I get stuck in some random pot because my fingers a pressing the wrong keys
sorry, i answered above, but its above a direct quote so you may have missed it
i use a joycon (nintendo switch controller) in the left hand and a wacom intuos 4 in the right hand
it may be similar to what you were looking for in your attempt to use a nunchuk

I think was glitchplease. But appears that you have some needs, I think his idea it’s great btw to solve his situation, but I not sure about your needs, maybe could work as well. There are several workarounds to help folks to have better experience to do certain tasks out there, his one it’s a clever one tbh.

Oh. How did you get a joy con to connect inwill have to look into that. But yeah that would be lovely. Honestly I use to use my right side of my Xbox 360 controller. Inhave a razer moba mouse so I had all the buttons I needed on the mouse
I learned to play MB+K mostly from playing Minecraft. Its a simple low stress game that uses a similar control scheme to most FPS games including Overwatch.
theres a few programs you’ll need to use to get the joycon working, since nintendo didnt provide a way to do it automatically people have had to make the code themselves and put it on github
this page will walk you thru the steps
https://github.com/fossephate/JoyCon-Driver
once the vjoy is setup you need to setup x360ce as the controller interpreter inside the overwatch game folder on your PC (C:\Program Files (x86)\Overwatch_retail_)
its kind of a pain to set up but you’ll only need to do it once. i believe in you
So cool I will have to look into getting some cheap joy cons
highly recommend gamestop and buying the 1 year warranty for 5 bucks
button goes/ joystick problems? claim the warrenty and buy a new warrenty for 5 bucks
5 dollar joycons forever
