Overwatch.exe - Bad Image

When I attempt to open Overwatch 2, I get a prompt saying: Overwatch.exe - Bad Image.

“inchjqma.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.”

theres a few threads about this with various solutions people have found. i get this error if i dont kill some system processes, some people need to turn off anti-virus, some people had to update their PC

try my .bat file solution toward the end of the 51 comments thread if nothing has worked for you so far

Update: I ran:

Taskkill /f /fi “SERVICES eq wuauserv”
Taskkill /f /fi “SERVICES eq WaaSMedicSvc”
Taskkill /f /fi “SERVICES eq UsoSvc”
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver

and now I no longer get “inchjqma.dll” error but now I get “HID.DLL”. And when I close the prompt, I get a new message saying: “Failed to load library: HID.DLL”.

Any fixes for this error?

from my understanding the DLL it mentions has nothing to do with the solution. my error is the HID DLL when it happens

did you run the bat as admin?
did you try any of the other users workarounds?

my solution might be something that only helps if youre like me, on an older version of windows/ disabled the windows updaters, but idk

After trying many methods I found through the forums, none of them have worked so far.

Solution: I restarted my PC and opened Battle.net Launcher. Then I opened Overwatch 2. I got the “inchjqma.dll” error. By curiosity I spammed the “Ok” option about 20 times till the prompt closed and opened the game.

If you get any Bad Images error, you can still play the game. Just make sure you spam “Ok” until the prompt closes and the game opens.
