Overwatch Would be VR compatible

You could make Overwatch into a VR game. I was playing a lot of VR recently the controllers have basically the same layout as any gaming console’s controller would have. So I have a request for Blizzard to make an Overwatch VR. Also if they do put this into consideration please put it on Oculus quest.
Edit:I completely forgot about Hammond

I’d play that! I suspect something like that would need to be a spin off game though. Also the highly mobile heroes might be a bit nauseating lol.

Would be fun to play against some heroes like RaodHog or Doomfist

This is a pretty cool idea, but it would be a lot of work for Blizzard. They would need matches dedicated for VR players, and would take a load of time and effort to make functional and not buggy.

Itd be cool but it would be disorienting for some heroes if they take it to far. Imagine not being able to see certain angles because of McCree’s hat or orisa’s horns, and the less said about heroes with high mobility like doomfist or hammond, the better.

400 shots, one kill.

Yeah yeah I see where your coming from

As an Oculus Rift owner, trust me when I say fast paced FPS/hero shooters are NOT tailored for VR. Turning is the main issue.

There’s a reason why 99% of VR games come auto-equipped with snap turning and teleport movement, because a lot of people can’t handle motion in VR or smooth turning. That would be cranked up to eleven in this type of game

… Wrecking Ball in VR… holy barf machine batman.

Well although that would be awesome as ****

I have really bad motion sickness… so if I got to be Hammond.

at the current state of the game, working on something like this would b similar to killing the project entirely for their non casual fanbase. Theres a right time for it, and that’s not now.

Incoming trauma from angry japanese sepaking sword whirler.

I’m not particularly susceptible to motion sickness, but VR is one of the things that can make me sick, especially if it is jittery. All of the CC, knockbacks, boops, pulls would just end up with people puking all over the place.

I own an Oculus. Overwatch would be one of the least vr compatible shooters.

The biggest barrier for Virtual Reality Games right now is motion sickness. Even something as simple as walking forward in the game world while standing still in the real world will make you nauseous real fast.

With extreme movement abilities like Guardian Angel, Doomfist’s entire kit, Winston’s jump, etc., Overwatch VR would require a very advanced full-body rig that makes your body mimic what you’re doing in the game world. Otherwise, you’d hurl.
