Overwatch was never meant to be balanced

It’s just that weird kind of balance - when everything is broken in it’s own way, nothing is. But Blizzard tried to change that.

Speed running any game is competitive I agree. Don’t speed runners compete on completion time? Yes.

Most competitive games wait a bit to introduce a ranked mode. It’s so people have a chance to learn the game. This one was always meant to be competitive, and it’s the main reason I play it.

Unbalanced games that prioritize “fun” abilities are everywhere if that’s what someone wants. OW doesn’t need to be one, too.

PFFt nope, comp didn’t even release to like … months into the game or so. Jeff pushed against Esports till bobby decided it was going to be the next football. And the whole concept of OW was to characters with really stupid and overpowered abilities go at each other.

Pitching it with character that can just dash across large portions of the map in one go. as in tracer.

It’s based design is based off TF2 a game that was made mostly around casual groups, focusing on character specific counter play. And more goofy moment to moment gameplay.

Because it’s new, wacky, and they are not forced to play it. Put those patches into the live game for months and you will certainly see a ton of hate.

For all of what? 1-2 months? The game had pro play teams in the beta. They were working on a ranked system long before the game actually launched.

Odd so many people are playing a game that apparently died in summer of 2016.

We need to balance the game.

Make everyone masterchief with only a pistol. No other weapons. For balance.

Every map should just be a circle. No unfair map advantages.

Matter of fact. Just turn it into pong, but delete the pingpong ball so that no one gets a headstart.

These kind of update is the players favorites only in your head. Please, get back on Earth and stop dreaming. Ty.
Btw,when a team fights another team, this is a competition by definition so Overwatch is a competitive game.

This discussion is one made by Zoomers who don’t understand the meaning of words and have their own little definitions.

To be clear there is only one definition for what is competitive and by extension a competitive game. This isn’t a debate get a dictionary and read it.

Any game where players are pitted against each other to see who is better is a competitive game.

What the zoomers are arguing is if the game has a ranked mode, with a ladder or high score board.

The only way Overwatch can be by definition a non-competitive game is if the following is true.

There is no winning or losing.
There are no stats that allow your performance to be compared to other players.

Just because you don’t understand words/English doesn’t mean your definition is the correct one.

Yes by definition even Tic Tac Toe and Flappy Bird are competitive games. Most games are competitive thats is one of the main reasons we play them. Period. If they weren’t then there wouldn’t be a reason to want to get better and the game would be boring in a few days. This isn’t my definition and I didn’t make up the meaning of the word. Frankly I blame the OW devs for not just calling comp what it actually is a RANKED mode.

It’s not that odd, most people have no ability to fight their own addictions or control themselves. Still a minority in the grand scheme of it all.
