Which is better?
I recommend playing both because then we are supporting the hero shooter genre. Personally I think the tanks are more fun to play in Paladins and I like the ability to customise the heroes so that the players can fix or compensate for game balance issues at their rank.
Overall Overwatch is the slicker game with more addictive gameplay but don’t rule Paladins out because I definitely think some of the Paladins tanks would improve Overwatch. I would rather play Atlas than Orisa and Raum would be popular if he was in the game. Granted we already have Bastion but Raum is an improvement.

Paladins has better balance team.
OW is way more polished and has brighter future than Paladins. Also it’s there’s less grind.
Also I prefer duo tanks/supports.

Paladins has more interesting characters and ways to play each character, but overwatch is more polished and is more live.

Paladins punishes you for leaving matches HARD! You D/C you are banned form playing anything including training mode for 30minutes.
Quick play matches are much longer. You could have a match go 5minutes or 27minutes in paladins compared to quick play in OW where the longest you’ll ever go is 15minutes. Its impossible to go over that unless you get extreme overtimes. Main thing is that Paladins allows for best of 5 rather than best of 3 in some maps.
Paladins also prevents the ability to swap mid match is sort of annoying.
Also, paladins has up to 90% healing blockage and is rather common to pick up when 3/5 of the enemy team are shooting you and blocking 90% of your healing late game. Makes the support role kind of a drag.

Paladins has more fun supports as well🥰
Am I the only one that sees a lot of similarities between Inara and Orisa?
Both have a barrier (Inara’s more like Mei’s wall)
Both have a Fortify
Halt is a movement CC just like Inara’s sticky floor
And both deal damage through a spammy primary fire.
No, inara actually has skins unlike orisa

Inara + Nature Skin Orisa, then I can see it. Even then Inara reminds me more of Mei via wall.

When I look at a game the first thing I look at is graphics/visuals followed by character design (not abilities but how they look) and finally abilities and story. So overall Overwatch wins for me. Also the fact that EVERY Overwatch hero is free to use from the start, while Paladins you have to grind for the characters you want.

Or you can pay like $25 and unlock all the champs, you know like you did for overwatch

Yeah but look at what I said at the start, I firstly look at how the characters, visuals and maps look. Overwatch EASILY wins for me there.
I haven’t touched Paladins in a long time. Last time I played it was on the Nintendo Switch and that’s just because I couldn’t play Overwatch.
Paladins from what I recall felt… different, completely different from Overwatch. It seemed a lot more complex, but a lot more basic at the same time.
I personally think Overwatch is the better, more fun game, but I don’t have much experience with Paladins so I don’t have much ground to stand on with that statement.
lol
But I suppose that you are right… If everything is broken, nothing is unbalanced.
It’s a shame that the game is riddled with bugs and the both the devs and PR people pushed away the few youtubers that were actually critical.

This and people barely complain about the supports there
The only time i saw people complaing was about IO and then only because of luna being used as a objective tank.

It’s 75% now, but it’s still AWFUL.
Cauterize is the worst thing in EXISTENCE.
The oldschool titles of the genre are still worth “studying”.
TeamFortress.
Global Agenda.
Tribes.
Firefall.
Etc. A few failed titles but good sources of inspiration for future projects.

I mostly played it when OW was extra boring for like, half a second.
I played Kinessa (I like Widow.), she was fun. I guess.
Can’t say much about it.
I find Paladins a lot more fun. It’s better balanced and every hero can make an impact (less team dependent). But, overwatch is better polished and my friends play that so I play overwatch.

Paladins is more of a moba than a shooter, and overwatch is more of a shooter than a moba. Hit boxes are gigantic in paladins, therefore aiming doesn’t feel like much of a skill in that game. It’s also a really buggy game and I just really don’t like hi rez. They’re devs that seem like they’re just in the business for money and there’s not much artistic passion or drive. They just make games based on whatever is popular at the moment.
You can make plays in overwatch that make you feel like a God, but I never once felt that way in paladins. The physics system largely contributes to this in overwatch and it makes the game so much more exciting. The physics system also will sometimes make for really funny plays like a junk mine launching a charging rein into the air to pin valking mercy.
