Overwatch has been working great for the past year and a half and have no had zero issues up until a week ago, the game says I am getting 90+ fps but it feels like 30, it’s very stuttery. I updated my graphics card drivers and now Overwatch uses the Microsoft basic render driver instead of my actual graphics card so i get a max of 1 fps in the menu screen. I have a AMD Radeon R9 200 series (270x). Thank you !
First if you are using a Desktop computer make sure that your monitor is not connected to the video output jack (VGA, HDMI, or DVI) directly on your computer motherboard and instead be plugged into the video output of your graphics card (as pictured):
If that is not the problem, check your AMD Control Panel to see if Overwatch is not configured correctly to use your AMD graphics card. See this AMD support article for details:
