Overwatch: the Vex Thal fps

Congratulations…you have managed to turn Vex Thal into a FPS hybrid. Tanks that take 10 clips to kill, or 10 clips to take down their shields who also one shot or have way too high damage output rendering 2/3 of the hero pool worthless or just feeling completely ineffective.

It dawned on me while trying to kill Hog earlier that he was EXACTLY like fighting random Vex Thal named (FYI Vex Thal was a super annoying zone in Everquest where the bosses were known as stupidly high hitpoint).

The gap between tank and DPS hero in survival and the general lack of differentiation in attack literally makes non tanks worthless as you continue to pander to tanks, knowing full well that without artificial limitations, we wouldn’t have a tank shortage, but would be in another 4 tank meta.

New immortal Dva is ridiculous, Hog is ridiculous, SuperSayan Rein Hammer is ridiculous, Double Shield Sigma and his explosive around the corner explosives plus stunrock is ridiculous, Zarya full power beam is absurd. Orisa is the only thing remotely close to reasonable and even she is slightly overtuned.

How this team could think that this Tankgod era is fun is insane.

As someone that played EQ for more than 10 years and loved the Shadows of Luclin expansion more than anything (it introduced the cat people!)…just, no.

Yes, I definitely played during SoL. If you played EQ at that time at the end game level, and kept up with the community, I guarantee you would know who I was at the time (Frodlin, warrior class correspondent).

PS Luclin was garbage top to bottom compared to Kunark and Velious

I do recognize the name!

I didn’t raid VT but I did go there a lot on my own to try to farm clickies much later in the game.

(And yes, everyone hates SoL but what can I say - I’m shallow and they had moon cats :heart_eyes_cat:)

Bruh he just said D.va’s immortal gotta love it.

He doesn’t think Tanks being as strong as DPS is problematic (how else are they supposed to control space).
