Probably trying to find the right 3rd party platform to use full time that would take all the community heat + handle the moderation for them, so they finally can point to an excuse to close these forums down.
I’m more interested in the twitter shakeup.

to them it will be massively over buff male heroes with the exception of genji while nerfing sojourn and genji…they have to do what idiot bobby kotick says
If even. I daresay they have had a manpower problem with their forums ever since Ghostcrawler left. Given past transgressions have come to light about the inner workings of Blizzard and the “cliques” they produced and promoted, it may not be a big surprise that certain employees and retainment(sic) within certain sectors of Blizzard have had trouble for years.
So they are looking for advice from people who know how to balance characters?
Twitter Spaces is live audio. The closest they could get to doing that on the forums is posting a complete audio file.
would be nice if the few heroes that are good picks vs Genji (Symm, Torb, Brig) get buffed into being strong picks

You know Naoki Yoshida of FF14 does these live letter things and will typically pull common questions and answer them on live on stream. The staff then translates and posts them to the official forums which players can read and get answers from.
I know this is a difficult concept to understand if you’ve been a long-time follower of Blizzard games (and nothing else); but game developers in the modern era do like to communicate and post development diaries for their fans and followers. Even Overwatch used to do these one-sided developer diaries with Jeff Kaplan introducing new heroes or events.
