I downloaded and installed Edge, and it seems to be working.
That said–I was able to watch the KR game on Oct 15 just fine in FireFox. Once again, nothing has changed on my end since then.
The fact that you’re even suggesting to try a specific browser (let alone Edge eww) to maybe, hopefully find a combo that actually works shows this is a poorly executed promo.
Both I and the Overwatch Esports Streaming Team have been tracking the specific issue you described. This solution is just a workaround for now, and hopefully changes will be made to make sure any other browsers start working again.
I use Chrome as my main browser and Contenders Website is slow and stream doesn’t load.
I’m using Edge right now, I hope problem with Chrome will be fixed.
If anyone is willing to test for me, I would like to see if anyone who observed problems with Chrome to try the following procedure on Chrome:
icon next to the URL of the website.I can’t try this myself because I have no current problems with Google Chrome. I also will be going to sleep. Please reply if that proceedure works for anyone. It will help me out.

ok i did that and now it works!! also I’m pretty sure i’ve watched over 7 hours and still haven’t gotten my symmetra skin but ill keep watching just in case

Is there any way to check your status besides when you get the drops? I would hate to invest 7 hours only to find out it’s not working.
People mention they had a delay before they received the rewards. Can someone tell me how long of a delay we’re talking about?
Edit: Also, is it 7 / 15 hours of game time to receive rewards like the token drops only tracking game time or does the entire live broadcast count?
Nope, you can’t view any counter. The skins simply appears in the char’s gallery when you reach X hours.
Woo I got my Symmetra skin! I will definitely be watching the streams on Firefox from now on. Chrome simply refuses to give me drops. Even during the OWL.
I got the sym skin , too bad i can’t play such bad hero . mercy skin next week!

Excuse me, I followed all the instructions but somehow still have not received the symmetra skin yet. I think I have already spent 7 hrs on live stream as I joined the past three live streams. Can you tell me what to do in order for me to get the skin?
no Argentina is eligible i think , check the Hero Gallery manually and go to “Symmetra” , for some reason it doesn’t notify you when you receive the skin .
I don’t have the Symmetra skin but I have watched more than 7 hours:
I was connected to my account (with the message saying that the viewing time is being tracked)… I’m living in France
My symmetra skin came a bit after the last broadcast concluded with what I estimate is a 2 hour delay - based on the total length of the two streams watched.
I think either one should not assume that drops are given in real time, or that not the entirety of the broadcast is counted.
I’m still waiting for the skin. Hopefully in the next few hours I will get it on my account. Thx for your response
I watch 3 streams (6,5h/5,5 and todays 4 hour stream). Waiting for the Mercy one to drop. Anyone else got it already?
