Intro
So have some interesting crap to share with you guys today. Now if you where wondering, yes I am a roleplayer and roleplay on a lot of different games. Tease me all you want, but roleplaying reduces my stress as well as helps with my other mental issues I have. I do it as a hobby and a coping mechanism for stress.
HOWEVER! I have seen my share of weird crap, but Overwatch roleplays seem like a new level of weird. Some people are legit roleplaying in the voice chat (Something you don’t do when you are actually rping.) and on top of that I will never unsee some of the weird af gay rp (With characters who are not even gay) scenes I walked into on Overwatch. XD
Now this isn’t me hating on Overwatch roleplaying, but it is me expressing how dumbfounded I am from seeing the rp that happens on here. Anyways, onto the actually story!
The OP AF Magic School RP
So I was bored the other day and there was nothing better to do on other games, was getting sick of Quick Play and Arcade modes, and didn’t feel like taking the game seriously enough that day to be doing Comp. It was at this time that I decided to check out some Custom Games since you can always count on the Custom Game creators to either give you a good time with awesome workshop games or weird you the hell out with weird chats.
Alright so I am looking through the Custom Game Browser for anything that I have not already done. I happened to stumble across like three different RP servers, one was a Magic School Rp kindly titled “Magic School Rp (RP OR KICK!!!)” I raised my brow at this because I was just like “What?”. Joined the server and it was these two people, could only guess they where maybe from 8 to 12 judging by their more amateur rp skills. So I joined in, stuck around a bit, asked them what the rp was about. They told me, I screwed around a bit in the server, then these two kids just randomly start fighting eachother in rp. One kills the other, then that person somehow comes back to life, turns into a God and basically rps that they destroyed the world.
I was just sitting there observing everything wrong with rping like that, for one most rpers know that they need to set limits and can’t godmod their OCs. Godmodding in the rp community is the act of basically giving your character God-Like Abilities or making them unable to be killed. On top of that they also just power played which is another no go when rping, Powerplaying in the rp community is the act of fighting unfairly in an rp such as instantly restoring yourself, healing your injuries every time you get injured, and making moves (Not those kind of moves.) on another person’s character without given them a fair chance to fight back. At this point I was just like “I don’t have time for this s*it” and probably lost brain cells watching that.
So after that magic school rp catastrophe that I simply refused to be part of, I left and scrolled through the Custom Game Browser again. Seeing more RP servers I was just like “Hmm, if that was that ridiculous and random, how high will the WTF levels in these other ones be?”. Bored I decided to hop around RP Servers and see what kind of random crap goes on in them. Next server I joined for kicks was one that was titled “Overwatch Universe RP or Kick” joined this one and damn was I losing my sanity the minute I joined that one.
Overscewed RP COUGH I mean Overwatch RP
This one wasn’t so much amateur rp and more so just really… Kinky. I won’t get into great detail about what exactly went on in this one because I don’t feel like getting this topic locked or being suspended from the forums. So I will just try to give just enough detail to give you an idea of what went on without going from PG-13 to X. So basically what happened in this one was a bit… Interesting and somewhat disturbing really. So I joined, chose Reaper because of course I did, then went to where everyone else was in the server to see the action up close. As soon as I made it half way to where the rest of the group was, I see in the chat… And this will be putting it lightly… Roadhog X Mei ERP. Yeah you read that right, not Reaper X Mercy, not Ana X Soldier, Freaking Roadhog X Mei!
If you don’t know what ERP is, my guess is you have never roleplayed in your life or have even been a part of the RP community OR you are way too young to even be on these forums or even playing online games in general… ERP means Erotic Roleplay and it is used to describe 18+ RP typically of a sexual nature. So the Roadhog X Mei thing escalated quickly, mind you I have no idea how old these two actually where, so I was just like “NOPE!” and ditched out of there like a Rat running from a cat. Now I am 21 and don’t have an issue with ERP provided people doing it are old enough to actually do that.
But I was just like “NO!” because one that is a weird AF pairing and two Overwatch is rated T I believe so that kind of RPing would probably be prohibited anyways. I left too quick to bother reporting anyone though, so yeah. Sorry Blizzard, you know I am on your side with keeping the community free of parasites, but this time I couldn’t bare sticking around long enough. XD
Family Vacation with Reaper and Zarya, and their kids?!
After leaving that one, I was a bit scared to enter the last one on the Custom Game list, but me being the fight don’t flee type I joined anyways to see one last thing and find out what weirdness was going on there! I am either just deathly curious or deathly stupid, but oh well. Sue me. So this one was a lot more tame but still really weird, it was titled “Family Vacation RP” and basically when I joined there was two people playing the parents I guess, one was using Reaper and the other was using Zarya, then there where three playing kids.
One of the people playing as kids where using Lucio, the other was ALSO using Reaper, and the last was using D.Va (De-mekked). They where nice and welcomed me, so at least they seemed to be a chill bunch unlike the other two rp servers. Asked them what the rp was about, how they where playing, and if we where suppose to be the actual characters or OCs (Original Characters/Characters We Made Up). They explained and I hung around a bit, but it was just weird seeing the person playing as “Daddy Reaper” and the other person playing as “Mother Zarya” for me to stick around.

That be the end of my weird as hell adventure screwing around in rp servers, just because I was stupidly curious as to what RP on Overwatch looked like. There are a very select few games I will rp on, Overwatch is not one of them even though I would love to actually RP as Reaper for once. Haven’t bothered with Overwatch RP servers since, but it was rather funny seeing all this stuff go down.
Anyways, thanks for reading and hope you found these stories somewhat amusing if not totally cringe inducing. If you ever RP Server hopped on here for the hell of it because you where bored and seen some weird crap as well, feel to share your stories.
Once again this is not a topic to talk crap about roleplayers, since I myself am a hardcore veteran roleplayer and have been roleplaying on verious games for a rather long time.
