You can say formal for Vincent too - he is the ex boyfriend -

Only playable characters, so there’s Jack.

If Jesse is just Gabriel’s subordinate, he wouldn’t joke with and friendly bye Gabriel in Retribution. But he did, so Jesse was Gabriel’s friend.

I see what you mean. But you can joke and be friendly without being friends outside, that’s what I meant.
It’s complicated to make a list like this because relationships are complicated and can’t be just summarised with one word.

Just a tip - if you mean a past relationship, it should be “former” or “formerly”. “formal” means not casual or according to strict rules.

How about Winston and Hammond? They know each other and were mentioned as friends… somewhere. I’m almost certain!

Also, Ashe could fit into McCree’s former friends category, I think.

I think its notable that reaper mentions Moira as a friend to Sombra in an oasis voice interaction. I know that voice lines aren’t canon as such but it doesnt seem in his character to mention someone as a friend sarcastically.
