Credit where credit is due I think OW2 has seriously popped off and done a lot of things right lately to which this gain might be attributed:

:white_check_mark: GFN support
:white_check_mark: New heroes
:white_check_mark: New maps
:white_check_mark: More reasons to grind competitive e.g. new Jade weapon skin
:white_check_mark: Exciting and interesting event game mode
:white_check_mark: Best battle pass yet?
:white_check_mark: Communicative and responsive dev team
:white_check_mark: Good changes planned ahead: console mouse and keyboard support

I’m optimistic for the future of OW!

Are you secretly HULK by any chance? Why did you change your name?

I would really like to know the real number of active players across all platforms.

I wonder if the console playerbase is bigger than the PC one.

Lmao

This game has twice the population of ow

Now watch the ow defenders legion come and say but but we all only use bnet launcher.

From statistics console is bigger. In general we can say:

10-15% of the PC playerbase is playing OW on steam.

Around 40-50% of the playerbase are PC players.

That means 60-50% are console players.

If you do the math it shows that OW2 is pretty crazy in terms of size still.

To be fair that does look like a fun party game but might end up being temporary success. I also thought the same of Fall Guys but ended up incredibly wrong.

It’s solid from 2021 and going on.

Wow, that does not look good for Blizzard then. I wonder what Fall Guys current population is.

Blizzard probably has 700k active players atleast between all platforms I’m just stating a lot of people are using steam charts as soon as it climbs a few percent, when it’s just people checking patches, remember steam has 150k reviews.

I also like Hulk but he can be easily bribed with cloud features😝

Looking at the Steam DB chart for population it’s crazy how popular CS and TF still are. It really goes to show how much people like Valve.

Ppl just moving from bnet to steam for s10 after uninstalling.

Why now when it’s been on steam for the last 9 months?

There is no way it’s not them. Exact same behavior.

I don’t think they changed their name, I think their other account got lost.

There is more initiative to switch after you have already uninstalled.
Those are just bnet users who have uninstalled the last season and are now checking what is new for the start of the next season.

Weren’t the numbers already climbing towards the end of last season?

At one point Blizzard themselves claimed that they had 50 million active users. Obviously a lie, but they did say it. :cowboy_hat_face:

Why would they? End of a season is the most “nothing to do” time of the season.

Look at it this way:

If you look at the start of the year, it was at 20,000…

So it increased from average of 20,000 to 30,000…

10K players doesn’t sound like a lot, but remember Steam is only a portion of the total and it’s a good and reliable sample size for us to extrapolate from -

And taken as a percentage, that’s a 50% increase, which is enormous!
