I want to play comp with my friend, shes gold 2, i am gold 5, is that not the same ranked pool? How come? I was in a match a while ago while in bronze and someone on my team was gold, playing with their friend, shes on xbox and i am on pc.
If she’s not on PC, you can’t play ranked together

Crossplay is only available on QuickPlay
Basically because Console players have access to Aim Assist
If you both play on Console, or PC, there are close to no restriction in that skill range
You can group up from Bronze, up to Diamond without issues
Because mouse and keyboard and controller are two very different things.
It’s actually considered cheating by a lot of people if you use a mouse and keyboard on consoles (which you can do if you buy special equipment)
the reason why console has aim assist is because precision on a mouse way surpasses precision on console. Even with aim assist on (which no one turns on coz its a horrible experience), console does not have similar precision.
Secondly, cross play is not enabled coz PC have mouse precision (not skill; its due to the peripherals) so, they have an obvious advantage over console. That’s the reason y crossplay is disabled in comp. Not the other way around.

PC surpases Console because of camera movement activity level
But when the Gold4 kid locks in the hitbox, oh boy, those headshots are gonna make Kephrii and ML7 like grandmas xD

You can tune Aim Assist strenght as you like
But I’ve seen top500 console players on QuickPlay going Hitscan, and they are no different than facing a Hacker
And that’s why you can’t have Crossplay in Competitive
Because no one in his right mind is going to put up with stupid crap like Assist on a competitive game
Unfortunately you cannot play comp with console and pc together. You can do quick play but not comp.
