Overwatch play button doesn’t lounch… help

Can someone please help me… i have a windows 10 computer and I cannot play overwatch anymore.

First it started with just the bug, falling out and i needed to uninstall and install it again. Worked for 2 times.

Now it doesn’t even start back up… I did everything. I started my computer back on, closed tasks from ow, agent, battle net etc. Deleted both maps, reinstalled. Restart my computer… nothing.

Did ‘Geforce expierience’ to download the newest update.

I don’t know what to do :(, it’s like this for over 4 days… please help me :(((

You can launch the game directly from its exe instead of the launcher or install it through steam.

It doesnt work like that, i tried everything.

I found a truly bizzare potential fix for this issue on reddit:

To fix this issue, go to your game settings in the battle.net launcher, and change your speech to any Asian language. After confirming, the game will update with the language pack, and inexplicably, also fix this issue. Your game should now launch from the Battle.net client. Simply switch your language back to English after the update.

I have no idea if this actually works, but it would be wild if it did.

Nope :frowning: didnt do a thing… still cannot open it! Thanks for your help!

have you tried launching from steam?

Aww that’s unfortunate. I assume you’ve done the whole ‘scan and repair thing’ already. Might be worth opening a ticket in the tech support forum, try your luck there.

you know windows 10 is no longer supported, you would be better off upgrading to 11. if you make a support ticket and tell them you are using 10, they will say they can’t help you/

Update windows and all drivers.

Try searching for “overwatch” in your file system, and delete everything, then reinstall (had to do this with unity, and that worked)

If that fails, clean install bnet.

Also, I have an issue where I the play button doesn’t work if I leave bnet open too long, or launch overwatch then close and reopen it. To fix this I just exit bnet (have it fully close, not minimized to system tray) then reopen it.
