After a year of not playing overwatch on my xbox one, I tried to play it again and I thought that it was the game disc that is not working. I have two game discs and two xbox one’s and they were both working when I play it on my xbox one. But on the other xbox one, the overwatch game wasn’t working. So I thought I’ll try resetting my console, tried different game discs which worked out just fine. But when I tried inserting the overwatch game disc on that xbox, it just didn’t work and keep asking me that the game disc might have some scratches on it. I don’t think that game disc is the problem because it worked fine on my other xbox 1. So I would like to ask if there is something that you all can do to fix it.
Xbox 1 doing fine after the overwatch game disc was stuck for a few months. The system and games are updated, I’m playing some of my games on it except overwatch. I already have xbox live gold also.
Thank you in advance and I hope you all can help me. Have a good day!
I had the same problem, my disc wasn’t scratched but the xbox wouldn’t even recognize the disc was in the drive. Since it wasn’t working at all, I tried something crazy. I scratched off all of the holographic xbox symbols in the middle of the disc (where you put your finger). A couple of times, I started to get the error messages, “disc dirty try cleaning”, so I scratched it all off and cleaned it with lens cleaner. It had some weird black stuff on it after the hologram stuff came off, which I cleaned off and now it works again.
I refused to buy the game again because nothing was wrong with the disc no scratches or chips and it wasn’t broken, the xbox just wouldn’t acknowledge the was a disc in the drive. I did the scratching with my finger. My edition was origins
Since this involves a game disc not loading on a console, this is not something Blizzard can assist with. I recommend reaching out to Xbox Support.
Hey guys,
I had the same issue with my disk. I had no scratches and it had worked before. This was a super easy fix but didn’t realize it until after trying other disks. I had my Xbox sitting on its side and not flat. Once I put it back down flat it works again. Hope this helps someone.
