It really does
It shows your team who’s performing and whos not which allows for people who pick off-meta to actually show that they are performing
We pretty much see toxicity over this already, in the form of medals. It’s a team game and some people already get tilted if they see they have golds but still aern’t winning.
Healers can be awesome, tanks putting on pressure without overextending too much, dps has golds, and still lose every fight.
Putting in a scoreboard might just make people get singled out more often. In the above example it could be the dps not killing/shooting/hitting the enemy, but they still have golds (it happens in comp).
Better than what we have now where people look at the composition and see Syms face and proceed to yell at the sym.
A scoreboard is really just medals with extra steps.
Scoreboard is being able to prove that you are performing
The inherent issue is that players who perform bad consistently are vehemently against it. AND realistically, they are the only ones.
Don’t perform bad LUL 4Head
I dont think a scoreboard would hurt the game. At worst it stays the same. People get falsely blamed anyway, so might as well give stats to prove people wrong.
Entirely no.
Remove the existing stats, they only cause salt.
And so toxic players can have a tool for their toxicity.
Some heroes performs great without visual stats. Take Mei as an example. Her wall can seperate teams, but there aren’t any stats of this. Is she doing bad? No. She doing great. It’s just not visible in the scoreboard.
they should just make it so you can see the stats after the game has been finished… and also add new stats to it.
i really wanna see how much valk healing, valk dmg boosting i did.
They should remove all stats to stop people thinking they did well because they got gold damage, when they were in fact playing like trash.
I’ve said this before on another scoreboard-related thread and it needs to be said once more:
This game has so many variables that creating a scoreboard that say’s something about a players impact on the game is hard.
You can’t just include K/D, healing, shield damaged taken, time on the payload etc as they don’t include enough information about the game.
You need to account for positioning, accuracy, timing, clutch saves or kills etc etc.
A scoreboard is going to have to be very comprehensive to make it meaningful.
There was a thread about this earlier, and this was my thought about it.
