Will there be an Overwatch Movie?

They used to want to make one, I believe.
They also seemed so excited about lore and animated shorts.

Now… uh.
Well, let’s just say their priorities have changed.

the overwatch “lore” is so full of plot holes though…

And they have no intent of filling them, it seems.
They just keep creating new ones.

Echo has a big part to play in the universe of OW, maybe enough to even make a worthwhile movie instead of a 45 minute cinematic…hmmm?

If they did make one it would be pretty cool but it would probably turn out like the WoW one.

It’d better not! WoW movie apparently sucked, if they make an OW movie, they should announce that they’re gonna do it and ask the public what they’re expecting.

Yeah, they dodged the best two story arcs they ever had (Arthas and Garrosh) and went for the origin story. I guess it makes sense but at the same time the origin story kinda sucks.

Lol never. The potential for this game has been trashed and with it, it’s former loyal Blizzard fans. Overwatch popularity is nothing compared to the greatness of what WoW once was, so the potential earnings of an Overwatch movie would be far short of the time and cost it would take to even make it decent at all.

But don’t let me crush your dreams… Dream on.

It won’t happen.

Blizzard quite literally is afraid of angering people with their ‘headcanon’ and would just rather let sleeping dogs lie.

At most you’ll get snippets here and there with cinematics, short story comics and maybe something from Chu’s scrapbook and notes, but that’s it.

would be amazing. an overwatch movie has been something I’ve wanted ever since I started playing this game. but I dont think they will because apparently they dont care about the story anymore

But, what if… You remember how Butterfly Effect had those random different endings? They could make “endings lootbox”.
(Strictly cosmetic, because it’s a movie, so it’s ok!)
