Overwatch mobile? Would be great

The arena shooter is currently very popular on mobile. Cod mobile probably being the most popular.

The iphone14 and new generation phones are much faster than the switch… and feel far more natural for gyro.

I think overwatch could enter into mobile and be extremely successful.

The flicks from thumb swipes combined with gyro smoothing…and higher frame rates pushing above the 100fps has made phone aiming very smooth.

Looking forward to perhaps seeing a ow mobile

Absolutely not what monster would even suggest such a thing.

I hope it never comes to that. But I know it will. Because then mobile market will quickly dominate the PC/Consoles by the sheer amount of revenues they make (you know - what looks atrocious to us PC users is already a long time norm in terms of monetization on mobile)

And then the game will start pandering to mobile and look like mobile port to PC/Consoles. The future looks grim with that in mind.

At least we know everyone has phones now.

We can see through your disguise, you Blizzard employee

An Overwatch spinoff game on mobile would be nice. An actual new game that shares the ip, but explores new gameplay and storylines. I’d be down with that.

But we don’t need a port. The devs should have MUCH bigger priorities than finding more ways to monetize the game. Meeting unkept promises and delivering on preexisting expectations should be goal #1.

I don’t understand why people think an overwatch mobile would take any time to develop at all.

My phone is probably 1.5-2xs faster than a Nintendo switch.
My phones refresh rate at 120hz is 4xs faster than a switches at 30.

No reason to not just make it for phone

Considering they devs still haven’t reworked the 2cp maps after 3 years, I’m not optimistic of even the simplest tangential projects. And a port, even to ios, normally takes months in the industry. Some take a year.

I just want the base game to be finished first. It’s been long enough.

As someone who follows trends and player counts worldwide…. Overwatch is uniquely positioned to have a larger impact on phones than pc and console.

Phones are progressing similar to early consoles where optimal graphics and gameplay is short arena shooter matches right now. Just like the days of halo 3.

The game crushed the market in 2016 largely due to its ability to run fast paced action incredibly well at high monitor refresh rates.

The phone market is in the same position. So they really should try to ride the phone wave with how well ow is optimized…. Considering the game is incredibly popular in Asia and Asia has the fastest growing phone market.

I imagine how dope mobile ow whenever I’m watching streams on my phone.

They can have their own little pool to themselves. I do not want a mobile user on my team.

That’s why they implented sms so they can get an idea

So you’re saying you have phones!?

I have one, but I don’t torture myself with blizzard content on it.

I can’t imagine playing FPS games on an iPad. I mostly only like playing strategy based games on tablets because the touch screen suits perfectly for that genre. That’s why I’m glad Blizzard’s next mobile game is a strategy based one.

I think MOBA genre can succeed on mobile market though. Brawl Stars was a huge success and Pokemon Unite seems to be popular too. Maybe it’s time for HotS to return to mobile?

Tbh most of the FPS mobile titles are using another form of input anyway.

Gamepad/M&K adapters, kind defeats the point of mobile but here we are.

Dear Lord please no. They’re already doing nothing with a single game to handle, I don’t want them abandonning Ow2 for another 3 year to launch another disaster this time on mobile.

On top of that I think you gravely overstimate current mobiles. Except for a few extremely expensive ones, the vast majority cannot even come close to running the game without overheating and probably melting your phone, if it can run the game at all.

absolutely not heck the switch version of overwatch is a downgrade it shows the arm processor and gpu isnt capable of running the game to full potential

Don’t give them ideas, all they need is 1 person to request it.

Have you seen how scaled down and basic the “new” UI is? Why do you think they designed it that way? They didn’t lack resources to make the UI for one of their biggest IP’s sequels so preposterously plain and simple. It’s designed that way because OW is absolutely going to go mobile. Without a doubt. It’s just a matter of time.
