Yeah well, it’s one of their best assets since they changed their style. So far so good. I’ve seen a lot of people hating on the show due to the last seasons changes, but i’m an avid watcher of the show and i kinda welcome the changes.

I liked South Park when it was just funny over-the-top character-centric misadventures, but when Parker and Stone turned the show into essentially a serialized soapbox for their social commentary it became kinda boring.

Well it depends from people tastes. I personally like this. Old season had their good sides - like for example every episode was about something else. Now they added something like a main story,
South Park has always been political, so the politics in the show aren’t a problem for me. What bothers me though is that these last 3 seasons seem to based around politics with every episode. Not only that, but it’s not even done in a very creative way. The episode Cissy with Randy as Lorde and Cartman pretending to be trans in season 18 was really well done, just as the Goobacks episode in season 8 was. They were both still really funny and talked about their views in a creative and interesting way. These new episodes are just too on nose for my liking. I love seasons 1 - 18. But Seasons 19+ just aren’t doing it for me. Funnily enough, I loved Fractured But Whole. It felt like a classic South Park episode. It was funny while still having some great parody and social commentary. Its been one of the most fun and memorable single player gaming experiences Ive had. I just find it odd how the game could completely give everything I want out of South Park, but the show (at the moment) can’t.
There’s also just some small things about the newer seasons that bother me. The need for constant background music I find to be really weird and makes the jokes less funny, and in some episodes Stan, Kyle, and other background characters sound more similar to Cartman (in terms of tone and pitch) instead of having that subtle quality to their voices that differentiate each of them.
Well… from many cartoons like that im left with only South Park and Rick and Morty. Those two still keep me interested.
