Overwatch lore doomed?

For everyone who doesn’t have ADHD and like learning about game content world-building, this might not be for you :joy: But I’ve been bugged by one question ever sense this decision in Overwatch was made… making hardcore magic exist in Overwatch 2.
If real magic exists in overwatch 2, a true circumvention to medicine, why do some of the heroes love, and view science as humanity’s pathway forward? What can science achieve in the game that magical superseding of it can’t.

Maybe because science can be explained and understood. Magic on the other hand is pirely belief. Sure, Kiriko’s fancy dollar bills save your day, but who knows what side effects there are.

The lore is dead, you might as well accept fanfic as canon

Kiriko broke all lore rules with her powers, with her age compared to Shimadas and also with her attitude, that doesn´t match her cinematic. I made a whole topic about it and posted a video of a guy, who explains, why it´s happening. Let´s say, that money are more important, than anything in this game.

Divine intervention is picky. There’s only one Kiri at a time (her grandma had the powers before her, she didn’t even have to die to lose them)
Science isn’t as picky. You can just learn it. But not everyone is like Moira.

Microsoft had laid off the lore team.

Even back when the lore team was here, the story pace was super slow and barely alive. Like they still didn’t give us Zen lore, Pharah’s dad, Lucio + Symmetra face to face showdown, etc.
