ive been wanting flow3r to join the nyxl all year im so happy its finally happening
Those leaks get more and more verified.
Iāve heard good things about Ivy but Stellarās track record is, er, less than stellar. Weāve seen āmediocreā players come into their own under a good coaching staff, though, so letās see what happens.
The Paris Eternal have been announced:
I wasnāt paying attention because of the OWWC and personal matters, but since the last update by me thereās been a few more signings. Iāll try and get a full update on that before the end of the day.
Alright then, update time.
First, thereās a couple more signings by Toronto to report:
Yakpung joins O2 Ardeont, whilst Aid leaves the Houston Academy team, GGEA. This takes Toronto up to 6 players, meaning 2 more signings are required at a minimum.
Next, Boston has made a few roster changes:
As the tweets show, both Colourhex and Axxiom have been promoted to the main roster from Toronto Esports. It is however worth noting that Colourhex did not play a game for their Academy, only signing in Spetember from AU Contenders juggernaut Sydney Drop Bears. He will also be the first New Zealander to play in OWL.
Meanwhile, Fusions becomes the third Team UK member to be in the league next year, signing as a 2-way player with Toronto Esports. This is in a transfer from Londonās Academy team, British Hurricane.
This does leave Boston with 3 main tanks now, 2 of them new (Gamsu, Axxiom, Fusions), so it will be interesting to see if any of them move before the season begins.
The 3rd and final team to have made roster adjustments in the last week and a half is NYXL:
Nenne has been called up from XL2 Academy. There are rumours he may be moving to a flex Tank role now, but if not then like Boston this leaves New York with a surplus, as Nenne would be DPS #5 on the roster.
Guangzhou has sick skins
really hoping someone signs Hus and Trill but its not looking likely
For those that are keeping track, all 12 sides from S1, Paris, and Atlanta, all have the minimum 8 players signed. The other 6 sides have only a couple of weeks until they are required to fulfill that requirement, expect announcements to start coming thick and fast.
i know iāll be supporting the paris eternal next season!
Hell yeah
those are some good looking skins im not gonna lie
Iām so happy thereās no yellow in them for a change
nothing like a cotton candy palette to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies.
Well especially if the players behind those colors is the entire Team Runaway roster (the Korean Contenders Season 2 champions whom all have been signed).
The deadline for when teams need at least 8 players is just over a week away, on December 1st, so a good time to recap what players have been announced.
Dallas have filled one of the 2 big holes that Seagullās departure created:
The annual Team Gigantti exodus has continued, with off-tank rCk making the step up to the big leagues. Dallas still have no projectile DPS specialist, so expect one more announcement soon.
All other signings since the last update have been for expansion sides, and all for Chinese sides. And each team includes at least one player that made a name for themselves at the 2018 OWWC. First, there was the Hangzhou Spark team announced:
10 signings for Hangzhou. Most notable being Team China stars Guxue and Krystal, joining from LGD Gaming and T1w Esports respectively. They are joined by former X6 Gaming quintet NoSmite, Ria, GodsB, Bazzi and Bebe. Completing the roster are Lucky Future Zenithās iDK, along with Adora and Revenge from Team Seven.
And just this morning, Guangzhou Charge announced their roster:
Just like Hangzhou pulled a lot from X6 Gaming, Guangzhou has taken 4 players from Meta Bellum; Chara, Happy, WonJaeLee and Rio (that will be fun for the casters, Rio and Ria being on different Chinese sides). LGD Gaming provides the pair of Eileen and OnlyWish, whilst Bostonās Academy side (formerly known as Toronto Esports) provides Nero and Shu. The final member of Guangzhouās team is Team UKās Kyb, taken from British Hurricane. These nine join the previously announced HotBa, who they acquired from Philadelphia Fusion.
One other bit of notable news with regards to players. Atlanta Reign have today officially announced that Contenders side Last Nightās Leftovers is their academy team, rebranding to ATL Academy. This is notable because it means Atlanta main tank Gator has been reclassified as a 2-way player.
And since every team must have at least 8 players by December 1st, hereās a run down of how many players each of the 20 teams has, along with if thereās any roles they have no players for:
London Spitfire = 8 players, all roles filled
Philadelphia Fusion = 9 players, all roles filled
New York Excelsior = 10 players, all roles filled
Los Angeles Valiant = 9 players, all roles filled
Los Angeles Gladiators = 8 players, all roles filled
Boston Uprising = 9 players, all roles filled
Seoul Dynasty = 9 players, all roles filled
Houston Outlaws = 10 players, all roles filled
San Francisco Shock = 11 players, all roles filled

Florida Mayhem = 9 players, all roles filled
Shanghai Dragons = 9 players, all roles filled
Paris Eternal = 9 players, all roles filled
Atlanta Reign = 8 players, all roles filled

Guangzhou Charge = 10 players, all roles filled
Huangzhou Spark = 10 players, all roles filled
Chengdu Hunters = 0 players, no roles filled
Team Washington DC = 1 player, only Main Tank
Team Vancouver = 0 players, no roles filled
So, the teams we can still expect announcements from are:
Dallas
Toronto
Chengdu
Washington DC
Vancouver
still not sure how hus and trill are not signed to anyone but happy with colourhex even if he is a kiwi and happy with kyb
Trill was signed to Dallas academy team, EnvyUS
