Everytime I open overwatch 2, it runs at 100 cpu usage and wont go down until after waiting for 10-40 minutes and in rare cases an hour. When I try to play during these circumstances my frame times are horrible, at an unstable 30 fps that feels like 20, and its only after the cpu usage goes down that it plays how it should for me. I play at the lowest possible settings, reduce buffering on, and 50% resolution scaling.
Why does this happen? My specs are intel iris xe graphics on a laptop that has an i5 1135g7, and it has 24gb of ram, both sticks running at 3200mhz. My thermals are alright since it goes up to 70C when playing, but goes at 90C when it is at 100 usage, but doesnt seem to throttle hard when looking at the clock speeds.
Does it compile shaders everytime? Does it happen to yall as well?
It compiles shaders for me as well everytime I open the game, but only for a few seconds. And it always makes to run the menus at 60fps and it’s annoying as hell because I’ve a 165Hz monitor, and those 60fps feels so laggy, specially the mouse cursor.
Yeah, a few seconds is alright, I dont understand why my shader compiling takes 10-40 mins
My laptop is on high performance power plan and with the highest power draw
