I recommend removing Avast, the silent mode still runs in the background. You could reinstall Overwatch, if you have the bandwidth for it. But most of the errors are pointing to other apps being the problem, not the game.
I cant go without an antivirus program. I got Avast in the past specifically because OW support said to use Avast after I experienced issues in the past. Is there any way to set up a virtual session with someone so that this issue can be fixed? All the programs you have mentioned outside of Avast I have looked for and cannot find them. Nahimic is gone from what i can see, when i try and find nVidia share, nothing comes up, and I cant get rid of antivirus, especially after Blizzard recommended Avast to me
nVidia share is a setting inside GeForce Experience, the software for your GPU.
As far as Avast, I wasnât part of that convo, and not sure why someone would recommend it. During my last several years on the forum, Iâve only seen it cause issues. Personally, I use Windows Defender with higher settings, and thatâs it. This is my opinion, but I consider all antivirus software to be bloatware that slows down any PC itâs on.
They donât offer PC tech services, just courtesy troubleshooting. Since we know the issue is specific to your system, I recommend just trying a day without Avast.
Hello,
Nahimic has been removed, Avast has been removed for 2 days now, NVidia Share has been disabled. Game is running smoother but still crashed once
Sounds like an improvement. Since you removed some apps that deal with system files, a repair on Windows wouldnât hurt.
Just kidding. It has failed 3 more times since my last message
Have you removed the drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalled them?
I do not know what that is. I did remove the GeForce driver and reinstall it if that is what that is for. Same issue
Nope, itâs a separate app entirely called Display Driver Uninstaller.
This is getting beyond ridiculous. When I download this program nothing happens. It just downloads but wont run as an administrator or run regularly. I have done so many things and nothing has been solved. All the errors that were pointed out have led no where. When will we reach a point where we can blame the game? How do you get this stupid Display Driver Uninstaller to work because I literally downloaded it and nothing happens. Pleae also mark this topic as not solved and if possible, get someone else in here for a second opinion
I think you have a misconception about the forum. I am a volunteer. If someone else has tips for your issue, they are free to chime in on this public thread, but I wonât be personally fetching someone to do so. Additionally, the staff that pops in on some threads offers tech support as a courtesy, and the same goes for the ticket system.
There is clearly an issue happening with your PC where apps stop showing on the screen on their own. Thatâs not a feature of Overwatch or a common bug at all. You also seem to be the only person reporting it remotely recently.
If using the DDU app seems daunting, go for a clean install through GeForce Experience. And if that doesnât work, consider reviewing the documentation for DDU and using it as suggested.
As for further troubleshooting, you can open a ticket 24/7 by clicking Support in the top right corner of any forum page. Itâs likely they will offer the same steps, but they may have more insight. If that doesnât work out, further troubleshooting may require tech support from either Microsoft or a local tech.
