Overwatch just dropped off of Twitch front page for the 1st time

I beat DS1 a long time ago. It usually avgs a couple hundred views on Twitch, but the Remastered was just released bringing back some old fans.

Because BR is sucking the life out of all the good games. BR is honestly bad. An era is ending my friends but not just yet because R6 siege is a thing.

I’m surprised Dark Souls II is higher than Dark Souls.

Prob because the one stream with the views for souls 2 is a big streamer or something, its more spread on souls 1 so.
And I’ve seen CSGO with under 10k viewers, doesn’t mean the game is dead.
As other have said, BR games are the thing atm, so people watch that, pluss jurassic world evolution came out today as well as E3 is on, so thats eating viewers too.

Who’s the streamer that plays DS2?

Well,

…when there are only 6-7 viable heroes you MUST play…
…when balanced and totally fine heroes are nerfed over and over again…
…when the gameplay is the same thing every single time…
…when EVERY match is decided by whombo-combo…

…its bound to get old eventually, I’m surprised it took this long.

Wow, some of the games on here are pretty surprising to see

Yeaa, why didn’t you say it was forsen. He holds one of the largest Twitch communties. He is an ex-Hearthstone streamer and now streams “Lidl” games and other variety stuff. He is a cool guy although his community isn’t for most people. I’ve been watching him for 2 years now. I remembered he was playing all of the Souls games.

Or this type of game have just come to an end. It’s Battle Royale hype right now. But it wont last long, trust me. It is quite the boring genre, and will pretty much die out as quick as its popularity came.

As I’m writing this, Rocket League doesn’t have many views on Twitch. Neither does Minecraft, or Team Fortress 2. Are they all “dead games”, too? Absolutely not.

All in all, why do Twitch numbers matter to a game’s health? They don’t seem to matter to me.

It’s Forsen. He’s not a regular DS2 streamer.

Can I still play the game? Yes, I can. So who cares about Twitch…

No. My response to the OP describing an additional time where OW has dropped off the front page to Expand their viewpoint of OW dropping off the front page for the first time does indeed matter.

There were plenty of times when comp was out of season and the game remained on the front page, but recently as we all see the popularity of the game is waning among streamers.

I would say that your poor attitude and bringing up another game like DS2 is far less reliant to the post than my response to the OP.

Oh no I fear it’s a dying game.

I have the feeling that they matter to them or else they wouldn’t bother to force an e-sport and a two year contract with Twitch.

Numbers matter to investors, investors matter to the companies and the list goes on.

There is already a way to ‘milk out’ the casual crowd, check how the skins, cosmetics in game and merch are being delivered. There is a reason why some specific characters get more things than the rest.

Casual players come and go, e-sports scene and pro players are what remain and bring more and new casual players into the game. Look at League’s scene. A solid scene that has the power to ‘brainwash’ the casuals into tricking them that they can play the same ‘game’ thus making them play more and brings a lot money.

Unfortunately, OWL was so forced that people haven’t had time to feel a connection to the game, so less interest in the scene.

So why does this matter exactly? A lot of streamers do stream on YouTube.

To be honest, it’s not doing that bad for a starting scene and I also had those moments, reminding me the charm the game once had upon its release a.k.a ‘the days of innocence’ when everyone was trying their best.

Until I played one game to get the painful reminder that the actual game and the one in OWL are two completely, different things.

And log out.

OWL has the power to make the players get impressed by how the game is like under coordinating environment and teams. The actual casual game itself does not reflect it. To me at least, it feels like the casual scene is totally disconnected from the nature of the game, which is reflected in OWL and that is why a lot of people abandon the ship lately. It has turned into a big toxic mass.
