Yup, exactly. This game has “great bones” and lots of potential, it’s just a shame that it’s become so OWL-centric rather than focusing on the quality of the game for the majority of people who’re playing it. It’s really hurting OW’s overall longevity, and it’s just a matter of time before another hero-shooter enters the genre that could potentially capitalize on all of OW’s current shortcomings.

Yeah took 5 months…
But the events are pretty much dead outside of Archives, the lore isnt going anywhere and its slow, so far no new game modes, CNY doesnt even have its own game mode, a lot of features are missing, some which they have promised such has subtitles for deaf people, etc

Well the matches on it will be no different. Reinhardt vs Reinhardt deathballs smashing into each other until the best Reaper wins.
They are leaving temporarily because it’s a NEW GAME and it’s a great way go get new viewers.
Don’t listen to these spoilt brats. Maps, heroes and skins aren’t “content” enough, they want a full length overwatch movie (imagine the cost of inflating 15min animated shorts into 2 hours), a fully functioning PvE mode with new missions added every year, a guild system, role queue (that will already splinter the playerbase they claim is dwindling), and new gamemodes.
i’d be all up for the guild part though.
