a concerted effort since overwatch 1, then increasingly in ow2, to ruin hanzo and the players who enjoy(ed) him.
i can site the bans that you got in ow1 for even playing hanzo. I can site the accelerated floaty aiming system many have mention in ow2. i can sight the addition of many extreme buffs for all classes, and the addition of several flying characters.
Its not a game, its a vendetta against people who play hanzo.
I’ve heard a lot about Hanzo players being unhappy for a while now. I’m not really familiar with the issue because Hanzo is one of my least-played characters of all. What all have they done that has disappointed Hanzo players?
I still see Hanzo in QP matches pretty regularly. Idk if that means much, but people still use him.
Hanzo and Junkrat are the 2 DPS heroes who have suffered most from S9 changes.
Junkrat was made into Spamrat when he lost his combo, forcing even high rank Junk players to indulge in the most braindead playstyle for their hero much of the time.
You ever see those cracked Junk players hitting airshots in the old montages? Well they gotta hit 2 of those back to back now.
Similarly, Hanzo lost his competitive viability due to the wealth of stat-checks introduced with HP changes. He’s been forced to snipe at range, though he was never good at it. Hanzo was best when played aggressively like a duelist or brawler.
Additionally, mobility is ever-increasing, which will naturally make both of them suffer even more as projectile heroes, with very limited or very conditional mobility.
IDK Hanzo could stand to be ruined a little more, imo (I’m anti one-shot and pro combos). That said, they should ruin Sky Hanzo (Freja), before that.
I mean… they ruined hanzo the moment they adjusted his arrow speed for the first time.
I haven’t been able to intentionally hit anything since that time…
For real lol been a minute since I’ve seen the “they ruined the game for _____ mains!” Let alone for hanzo of all things.
Can you really say you’re a hanzo player if you can’t deal with flying characters? I’m not even a hanzo yet when I do play him it’s not that big a challenge to handle anyone outside of tanks and shields
I stopped hitting even bodyshots when i used to hit headshots. I managed to lead shots fine and land headshots with him.
I land more headshots on torb than freja, and their bullets are the same size.
Speed changes throw my aim out of whack. Because the amount i need to lead the shots to hit the target changes immensly.
I still lead his shots too much to this day, because i once learned the distance and i’m struggling to unlearn it.
He’s the first hero i ever reached 30 hours with
