Overwatch is the best game for cheaters

…because the community defends cheaters in Overwatch like no other game. You point out an aimbotter or wallhacker, I guarantee someone will say one of these things.

  1. “What’s an aimbot?”
  2. “Soldiers and Mcrees aimbot me all the time when they ult lol”
  3. “lol I killed them”
  4. “They missed me like 5 times”
  5. “Why would they aimbot in X mode/rank”
  6. “It’s just a smurf”

If you want to be a fanboy and pretend cheaters don’t exist in Blizzard games, be my guest, but stop defending them, keep your mouth shut.

EDIT: Oh, and I almost forgot #7: making a strawman argument over the accusers rank. Only the most astute top 500 players can spot an aimbot, if someone is consistently landing impossible shots on you, it’s probably just a really lucky smurf with mild precognitive abilities, obviously.

I’ve only seen #2, nothing else

And, when they’re done hacking, they put chemicals in the water to make the frogs Tracer.

No need to cheat if you can just play honza.

Uhhh nah.

I think that honour goes to Splatoon 2.
Not only is there no anti cheat, but the devs prefer to punish innocent players in order to “stop cheating”.

Yeah those dang cloud saves are going to make us have more cheaters. /s

Or maybe, and this is just a theory on my part, that those people where not using a aim bot, of course i have nothing to back up my theory but nether do you without the clips that people leave these so called comments on.

Evidence please. Otherwise based on my own experiences I’m going to assume the player is just good.

See? You are a #6, “It’s just a smurf”. People like you are just as big of a problem as the aimbotters.

How do you really tell, though? I mean sometimes it’s obvious but not usually. Aimbotters are pretty good at hiding these days.

And you’re making baseless accusations. You have to provide some video evidence of said cheaters. It’s not uncommon for lower skilled players to simply not comprehend how crazy good some players are (or just in denial about their own lack of skill) and thus jump to the conclusion that in order to be that good they simply must be aimbotting/cheating.

You cannot go around making accusations without proof and just tell everyone else to keep their mouths shut because they don’t agree with you.

You’re saying people say this off of some hypothetical clips that you haven’t even shown, clips or it didn’t happen.

If you honestly believe OW is the best game for cheaters you’ve definetly never played CSGO, PUBG or COD

I can think of maybe once or twice where I legitimately thought I saw someone cheating. I honestly do not see people cheating, at least on PC.

Play a bit of Sombra and you’ll very quickly realize that wallhacks are much more prevalent than anyone ever thought.

Sorry but people defend it because most of the time you’re just salty and they aren’t aim botting at all.

I play with a couple of friends and one of their 13 year old daughter and she gets accused of it when playing Hanzo by salty people so I defend her, know why? Because she isn’t bloody doing it.

Pretty much everyone knows cheaters exist. They’re just so rare that most of the time when someone is called out for cheating, they’re actually not. I’m guessing you haven’t played against real cheaters, except maybe some people that deranked to stomp.

People want to believe so bad that OW is the only online FPS in existence that isn’t infested with cheaters that they will convince themselves of anything.

Battlegrounds bans millions of cheaters all the time and lets you know. Overwatch stays silent to pretend everything is fine and it somehow works.

Here’s the thing: it’s really hard to accuse someone of cheating in OW for one reason…

You can’t spectate players not on your friends list.

Once they leave the channel, you probably won’t see them for a while. Even if you’re unsure, you’ve got no way of clarifying whether or not something was truly up. In 95% of cases, it’s probably just nothing, but that’s the thing: you can’t really confirm that over time. You only catch the most blatant of those who use them. Even if I think that’s somethings up, it’s hard for me to get some of that evidence if I can’t do something like that.

That’s sorta the conundrum.

Yes but generally people are suspicious because of something done to them. When you die you get a kill cam which can be recorded.
