the forums are dead because people only come here too complain and people are largely happy with how things are.
its a surprise to some to hear that, but most people dont care about the things we complain about.

I don’t know how you could say that (unless you are joking). Any time I hear someone talking about Overwatch (which is rare), it is always negative.

as i said the people who play the game are happy with it.
its a surprise to most that the negativity echo chamber we live in isnt a reflection of reality.
normies speak negative of overwatch because its popular to do so but most dont even play the game.

probably but that doesnt mean people arnt happy.
the forums are not a reflection of how healthy the game is, they are a reflection of how loud people want to be. this is true for any game, forums are always a reflection of the negative sentiments of a select few.

How do they know it’s bad if they don’t play?
Well… with the way the game is it’s mostly about counterpicking… which some players don’t want… others are weary about how far it goes
Plus those of us that do want to play the game but can’t for various reasons
i already answered that. overwatch is the nickelback meme in video game form.
but even if you go beyond that, overwatch when perfectly balanced isnt the game for the average fps player.
its to complicated so people might of played it 7 years ago for a week and now they just smack talk the game for luls
i have friends that do this, they havnt played since 2017 (when the game was good) who just actively say bad things about overwatch and blizzard games they dont play.
Because that’s only what an AI can do, nothing else.
Just seems like a Mega-Cope to say:
- The people who actually talk about the game never play it.
- It’s a good thing that nobody is talking about the game.
yet nickelback was one of the highest selling rockbands for years despite the outward hate towards nickelback.
im not saying overwatch doesnt have problems just that most players dont care about those problems.

That’s because everyone on the internet was talking about Nickelback (hundreds of millions of people). Current day Overwatch can barely crack 20k views, even with viewbots.
As long as people complain there is hope, because they are at least passionate about the game.
As far as I can tell most people have abandoned hope and lost their passion for the game.
They simply don’t care anymore, so the complaining stopped.
Haven’t played for over a year now and every once in a while I come back to the forums just to find that things have only gotten worse.

people still talk about overwatch, but its always in the “blizzard bad, look at overwatch” sort of way.
overwatch isnt a game normies enjoy, even when its playing well because its weird. the average player would rather play apex, cod or fortnite.
most of the problems of the game dont effect the average player, though the ones that watch streamers constantly complain about them as if they do (which is hilarious to see).
the rest are content, they are clearly making alot of money and you dont make money when your fans are mad.
