"Overwatch" is coming back to China

It may seem ironic, but in reality not so much. take a good look at what is not on the website. https://ow.blizzard.cn/home.html

There is no “2”. and you know what? it’s the truth: overwatch today still does its duty as a Live Service PVP game, but it was also that of OW"1". I feel sorry for the fans of 6v6 or 5v5 but… they are not the ones who defined a generation. Nor was it the original promise. and no, invasion was NOT the pve that was promised to us, it seems more like a demo of what should have been left in a coming soon.

so… I want to give a sincere round of applause to the chinese publisher on the ethics of the game’s title in china: it is not returning “overwatch 2”… it is simply returning “overwatch”.

I know, it is stupid note :raised_hands:… but not that much . the game today has literally regressed into the old promise of a story mode: we do not have archives, neither old nor new. We do not have a sequel to invasion, and there does not even seem to be the courage to officially remember in the communications that there was a coming soon in progress. The lore today continues only through teasers of the new heroes and… the wikia. yes, those who want to know the lore of overwatch still have to consult the wikia instead of the game which is only made up of references to things that you have to look for out of your curiosity.

that’s all, I just wanted to launch this little ethical provocation. we wanted overwatch 2 and it simply isn’t :person_shrugging:. I have never digested the story that it is the 5v5 that makes the difference, even if it is my favorite composition. not even if it makes sense anymore, since the 6v6 is now back, so… :roll_eyes:welcome back, you have a pvp live service game well updated as ow in 2016”? :grimacing:
