Overwatch in Smash Bros

Imagine A Overwatch hero in Smash Bros assuming also Overwatch comes to the switch, who would be the first hero that comes in mind for Smash?

probably a melee(esque) hero. Either Genji or Brig.

To be honest i would actually want solaire (from dark souls) in smash bros more.

Funny how the most likely character would be tracer who i main since she’s the mascot character yet i want solaire more lol.

Obviously Doomfist. He’s basically a captain falcon clone. I’ll also take Reinhardt please.

It’d be Doomfist or Reinhardt or Genji. Tracer may be the mascot, but she just doesn’t fit in a fighting game.

Doomfist is the only one that makes sense to me, or Reinhardt since Smash is all about the melee characters for the most part so ranged attacks are generally significantly weaker.

If they chose anyone it’d probably be Tracer simply because she’s the poster child. Personally, I think it’d make more sense to put Reinhardt, Genji, Doomfist, or Brigitte. Though I personally wouldn’t want an Overwatch character in Smash Bros.

Tracer or Genji would probably make it in, maybe Winston or D.va. I’d suggest Mercy as well, but Smash Bros isn’t a game well suited for support characters.

  • Tracer could be a less powerful, but more mobile Little Mac, with range and a recall.
  • Genji could be straight-up Shiek or Greninja.
  • Winston could be like Bowser.
  • D.va would probably play the most unique, but would probably by very akin to Dedede or maybe K. Rool.

Roadhog would be really cool from a balance perspective though: good against many highly agile and low/rapid damage characters, but weak against bulkier and slower oponnents who benefit from having closed distances and exploiting openings.
