Overwatch Hero tutorials

Does anyone else think the game could benefit from all heros having a tutorial not just the one with soldier ?( which misrepresents the game)

Sounds like a lot of work
We don’t even have a good training room 🤷

Idk, I think it would be better to watch YouTube tutorials, Blizzard may not know the best strategies for how to use their heroes (as weird as that sounds). So even if they went to all the effort of teaching you how to use each hero, it may not be the best advice

There are some nice custom training rooms. So all we need are some custom tutorials.

Yes they should and the game sense is also very poorly explained (positionning, ult management, awareness, etc.)

I don’t think that would be a good thing.

When you buy a game it’ll be taught to you what’s basic for you to play so then you can explorate the game by your own, making everything seems fresh and entertaining.

With tutorial for each character there’s no risk in playing something different in a match where you have fun and can lose bcs you don’t know how to properly play that character yet. And that for me, it’s what makes a game good.

I admit 3 years ago I was confused by the tutorial because I assumed, like many FPS games, everyone had a sprint button and it was not a unique ability to Solider.

That being said, this game is pretty mature and the heroes are not too complex. Tutorial could be improved, but not very critical to me.

But they’re not vanilla
They’re workshop created soooooo
We’ll probably need to be able to select the tutorial map in order to make it

A dojo mode like what some fighting games have wouldn’t go amiss. It will allow us to test some abilities and interactions that would otherwise be hard to sufficiently practice. We can only rely so much on watching KarQ videos.

I think they might be reworking the tutorial for OW2. Would explain why the ability information screen doesn’t really get updated properly.

I don’t think we need a tutorial even the one with soldier, it’s useless
What we really need is multiple training rooms and much better than the one we have
