Overwatch has crashed in the graphics driver

Hello guys,

I have see some threads regarding crashing, but has anyone experienced a crash, either to desktop during play or a lock up with the message “Overwatch has crashed in the graphics driver…BLZOWCLI00000004”?

My system: RTX 3080 Ti, I9 12900K, 32GB DDR5. As far as i know, everything is up to date.

Kind regards.

Grant.

Mine crashed yesterday with the error “your rendering device has been lost, closing app” or something like that… my cpu usage seems also pretty high while playing, the fan goes vroooom

Hello, Hige.

My temps appear to be okay. Sometimes the game simply crashes to the desktop, other times with the error message i mentioned.

Cheers.

I’m not sure if this will help, but nvidia released their “game ready” drivers for overwatch 2, you can search “517.48 nvidia drivers” and download it if you don’t already have that version

Cheers, but all up to date there.

I found this, the title includes the same error message you’re getting so I thought it might help, if not then I wish you the best of luck in fixing the problem!

Hey! Thank you for replying, but this doesn’t look to be the solution. Cheers, though.

Alright, sorry I couldn’t help but again, I wish you the best of luck.

Have you had any resolution to this? Mine is doing the exact same thing and started immediately after i downloaded WoW. I have tried everything i can think of (even having Geek Squad inspect my pc) but it still gives me the same error message everytime i try to log in.

Hey guys,

An update. I appear to be able to play for up to couple/three days without isse, then it crashes, usually within the first game. THe error has gone, thougfh. The game will simply crash to the desktop. I’m running the latest drivers etc.

Cheers.

Same problem. Nvidia RTX 3070, latest driver 526.98. Just upgraded yesterday, didnt have this crash on previous versions of driver

Hey Doctor, did you find a driver version that doesn’t result in crashes? I have the same crashing issues.

Try studio drivers + undervolting (if only studio driver does not work for you):
