That defeats the point of it being an “event item”. You get this irl too. Some items are limited for the time x event is taking place. If you didn’t get it, then you’ll have to wait until next year.

Plus on the two year anniversary you could buy every event item. So they gave another chance to get what you wanted. And save up credits and you can buy 'em.

Real world has Ebay etc. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah but less lootboxes will be bought.

The whole point in events in overwatch is the limited time cosmetics.

It’s not just loot box sales, it’s people playing the game more to get it

Sure, but often three times the price you could pay on the actual event, and the fact not even eBay has an unlimited supply of the thing you want. Not to mention you still get scammed in 2k18, regardless of the active buyer protection in place.

OMFG YES. waiting an ENTIRE YEAR for a skin you want is so insane… wtf are they thinking?

With all due respect, that wouldn’t be a great idea. They wouldn’t be event items anymore if they were to make them that readily available.

better than smite who have skins that available for one event that they never bring back, beside,s overwatch events are predictable when they are going to happen

No.

You don’t even get to SEE event skins in the cosmetic gallery of HotS if it’s not that currently that event or you don’t already own it. Just the other day I discovered that Arthas has a Halloween skin. And i played last Halloween event

Sorry but no, I worked hard for all my event skins and items, putting countless hours in to unlock everything, completely unfair if people can just buy or earn it all year round

Lol no, it defeats the purpose of “limited time events”.

They’re special, I like them that way.

what? they’re just skins, that’s such a stupid mindset to have. nobody forced you to put in all those hours.

Exactly. They’re just skins. You can wait to get them.

Other games have the same concept. Don’t like, then that’s all on you. Others like the special event items.
