Lately whenever I launch Overwatch it permanently changes my desktop screen resolution and aspect ratio.
My PC Specs are:
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2243NW
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Processor: Inter Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40Ghz
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
and I usually set both Overwatch’s resolution and my desktop’s resolution to 1024x768 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.
But ever since 2 days ago whenever I launch Overwatch and then close it, my desktop resolution becomes tiny and off-center,
leaving a huge black screen chunk to the right of the screen.
Moreover, my monitor has an AUTO button on it, which usually auto-adjusts the monitor’s screen resolution and aspect ratio to match that of the launched app,
or even to that of the desktop if no app has been launched, and it worked perfectly up to 2 days ago, but now whenever I use it, it only makes things worse,
setting the screen resolution and the aspect ration even more off-center from what the actual monitor shows.
Other game apps I launched in the meantime did NOT cause this issue even once.
NVIDIA GeForce Experience had a driver update exactly 2 days ago, meanwhile Overwatch had a hotfix, so either of the two can be the source of the issue.
