Overwatch Crossover with...?

Who should Overwatch have a crossover with? Star Wars? DC Comics? Marvel?

If Fortnite can crossover with Infinity War then why not Overwatch?

Blizzard could definitely afford the license and there might even be money to be made, but I don’t think they’re gonna do it. They’ve always kept their universe separate from others. You may get Warcraft themed Overwatch skins but you’ll never get Marvel skins.

Why? Because Blizzard is investing in their own universe. They wanna picture their game played 10 years from now, just like World of Warcraft. And the elements in the game should age well, which skins based on recent movies do not.

A Deadpool skin will only be interesting as Deadpool is mainstream, but a berserker Zarya skin will always be a representation of the growing Blizzard universe.

Fortnite is in a different spot because it’s a game that’s riding what’s popular. The game was based on Pubg’s success as a way to ride the latest fad and the Marvel skins are just the same. Where as Blizzard’s focus is more on supporting their existing franchises and sustaining that fan base.

You could criticize Blizzard for it, but in a way I think it’s healthy. Because if you’re a Blizzard fan, you’re always gonna get Blizzard products.

And as a big of a fan of Marvel as I am, if I had to choose between getting a Marvel-based skin and a Blizzard-based skin, I would probably choose the latter. There’s already lots of games I can play if I wanna see Black Panther, but only Blizzard games will let me play Blizzard characters.

Blizz doesn’t really do crossovers, unless it within their own games, then they’re all about it.

Diablo, Warcraft, Starcraft.

Because Fortnite runs on widespread popularity and dragging people into their game by sheer popularity. Blizzard retains fans and runs on whales. They’re not about to sellout to some other company to slash their profit margins to appeal to some niche crowd.

Should crossover with Marvel.

That way we can have a scene where Doomfist snaps his fingers on his gauntlet, making Sombra say “Gabe I don’t feel so good” as she relocates away in Reaper’s arms.

They should have a crossover with Team Fortress 2. I’d like to see:
Brigitte dressed as Scout.
Soldier 76 uniformed as Soldier.
Winston altered to look like Pyro.
Junkrat wearing Demoman clothes.
Hammond wearing Heavy Weapons Guy clothing with his ball looking like Heavy’s minigun.
Torbjorn looking like Engineer with false miniguns on the two side arms of his turret.
Moira frightening people with Medic’s clothing to look like the German Doctor.
Hanzo dressed as Sniper with a jarate arrow.
Tracer dressed as Spy.
