Overwatch Crashing

I’ve been crashing randomly while playing ow. When I crash it sends me straight back to desktop and says the game crashed. Sometimes it happens every few hours other times it happens the first game I play. I’ve tried troubleshooting the issue to no avail, any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, access violation errors can be hardware, driver, or power-related. The error you have here doesn’t tell us anything and you would need sophisticated tools to dissect the problem. In most cases, it’s the CPU (especially if you have an i9 series), overclocked RAM being unstable, or the GPU drivers.

Hey, just wanted to share what finally worked for me after weeks of random crashes:

  • Tried lowering graphics, updating drivers, scanning files, reinstalling — nothing helped
  • Temps were fine, power supply was solid, system was brand new
  • What finally seems to have fixed it: I used DDU to fully remove NVIDIA drivers, then did a clean install manually of the latest version. I actually used chatgpt for instructions so i recommend that as well haha
