sence today update when i try to lunch the game it just flash black and crash say unexpected error
I have the same issue. Tried to update graphics drivers, restart PC, scan game, reinstall game, close all other apps and antivirus, but nothing helped. Windows event log has no entries from the time of crashes. Game is completely unable to start even to main menu.

Same here. Black screen then CTD. Tried scan and repair, nvidia driver update, powercycle PC and reinstall Overwatch. Still CTD on launch.

Hey all,
Thanks for reaching out to report this. We’re seeing a number of crashes from players after the recent update related to the sound engine. It may not fix all crashes, but at least the three of you in this thread so far have this problem.
The devs are working on the problem now. No ETA on a fix yet but we appreciate the reports!

Got this problem too after the Reaper event update.

I am having the same issue, ran the update, went to launch a game and an unspecified error.
I have cleared the cache, rebooted, nothing, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, rebooted, nothing. Here is the output I was instructed to use in correspondence with Blizzard support. Thanks

I am having this same issue. Was playing when the update went live, after updating I can’t launch OW. Have uninstalled/reinstalled as well.

ive tried logging in 15 times today since 12pm. i still havent got it to work despite scanning and repairing, uninstalling overwatch, uninstalling blizzard app, restarting computer, turning off computer and turning it back on.

I’m also experiencing this. I’ve tried repair & scan, rebooting, updating drivers, deleting the bnet folder, messing with overwatch config, and rebooting. I just get the Blizzard Error message, and I can’t submit a ticket either. It keeps saying it’s a temporary issue, so I’m assuming there’s a lot going on between the Overwatch and WoW patches. I hope this gets fixed soon.
