Overwatch crashes computer

HI all

I am running overwatch on an i7 8700k , with a NVIDIA GTX 1070.

The first “crash” I got was during a retribution cinematic - where the screen froze and a screeching sound game from my speakers. I could not restart my computer or alt tab out. i turned of the power from the back and restarted and my computer seemed fine. Recently it has happened again mid game this time when I charged at another Rein and he charged back into me- the screen froze the audio sounded like a bunch of nails on chalkboards and could not reset my computer via the power button.

Anyone else have similar problem and some tips to fix.
I think im running on ultra graphics and my cores are not getting much hotter than 60 C from readings on Core Temp 1.11

First try to roll back your graphic settings to something moderate like High. That can at least determine if your system is not handling the higher settings well (though why it shouldn’t would be unsual given your powerful CPU and GPU).

Any specific error codes coming up from this crash? Any “artifacting” going on (where portions of the game play environment appears stretched or you see black spots)?

When it crashes the screen just freezes and the audio freaks out. I think there may have been some artifacting during the cutscene - but its hard to tell because it was a moving image so idk if its from that. While playing i did not notice any artifacts.

Ill turn the graphics setting to start - thanks for the help!
